When Twitter finally banned him forever...it was like the moment when The Ring was finally destroyed and Trump Tower Barad Dur collapsed. And all of his hate and all of his power was destroyed forever.

WTF. There is NO power. Nothing is being tested.

If you decide to run for public office, your privacy is forfeit.

It's like in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, you weren't fighting Gannon. You were fighting his followers who were trying to resurrect him from his ashes.

He probably thinks if he stays off of social media altogether, he will create a demand for his "wisdom" and be able to make the big bucks off of his own personal media site.  Knowing the nitwits that worship him that is probably the case, but he shouldn't wait too long because his followers have the attention span of fleas and will be moving on to the next snake oil salesman any time now.

To mix metaphors...yes.

We destroyed the Second Death Star...but now we've got to hunt down the remnants of the Imperial Navy or Adam Driver will somehow make a massive fleet, a Death Planet and destroy our fleet.

/ that IS my only real objection to the new trilogy. Where were the First Order's fleets constructed and how did they hide that construction and recruiting from the New Republic? They sure as hell didn't do it at the Maw Facility, like with the first Death Star.

// yes, yes; they stole some stormtroopers...but you'd have to steal a shiat ton of kids to run all of those ships. Then we're back to: how'd they do it without the New Republic finding them and destroying them? They'd, obviously, done it for quite some time.

The First Order built their fleet out in the unknown regions of the galaxy. Near extremely bright stars that interfered with long range sensors, so the New Republic couldn't detect them. Thrawn helped with that. There were also First Order sympathizers within the New Republic that downplayed the threat the First Order posed. So while the New Republic was aware that the First Order were out there, they were being sandbagged by Senators who were being paid by the First Order to obstruct any kind of military response to the First Order.

It is one thing to think that Trump simply can't function without a 140/280 character limit.  He writes a few broken sentences and hits "send".  I'd have thought he could switch to something like Instagram, but apparently it is just too complex for him and his followers.

I'm guessing that 280 characters are well at the limit of his follower's attention span as well.

Kegluneq: And I will never forgive Twitter for letting that farce go that far.

Who owns twitter?  Besides, expecting a corporation to act in anything but the most evil way is setting yourself up for repeated disappointment.  Corporations act like psychopaths at best and can easily move on to being Twitter.

But don't ever question their legal privileges.  Because capitalism was designed about being unaccountable for what "your money" is doing.  Don't you dare question capitalism.

It's like they gain a value by taking it from others.  They get more freedom for them by denying it to others.  The same with power, money, control, opinion, justice, pride....you name it, they get more by taking it.  And don't have a regret about i.

I felt that plot point was lifted from the Timothy Zahn novels. There was a ghost fleet of Old Republic dreadnaughts called the Katana fleet that was abandoned because the crews succumbed to a hive virus that drove them insane. So Admiral Thrawn sets out to find them and bolster the remnant of the Imperial Navy.

Of course the movie kind of has you believe they were constructed in secret somehow and not just something that was found.
