I thought Fark Friday Flicks replaced MST3K.

Rifftrax has been a blessing. I actually Star Wars I-III and VII-IX thanks to them.

MST3K seems to have fallen out of vogue with Fark. I still like it and look forward to their making more. But, for people who want money for a comedy show, the writing for their promotional video was not strong.

I loved the original run. Saw one episode of the reboot and didn't care for it. Something was just...off about it.

IMO, it was "trying too hard" vs the "labour of love" of the original run.

There were some fun episodes once they got into the groove. Carnival Magic, Starcrash, and Mac and Me were my favorites.

I have fond memories of MST3K. But whenever I try to watch it now (original run), it mostly falls flat.
I think it's a victim of time. When it aired, it was fresh and different, an extension of the Joe Bob Briggs thing. But over time, it's brand of humor has been done so much, and sometimes better, that it just doesn't seem as funny.
I don't know. I want to like it as much as I did in the 90s, but I just don't for whatever reason.

It felt almost frantic to me, as though they had ADHD or were contractually obligated to make at least one joke every 4 seconds.  Maybe that's just me being old.

I'm into it.

I was into Cinematic Titanic, Rifftrax, and The Return. I will never not love Mike/Joel/Jonah and the bots.
