Should of dropped off two weeks of MIR rations and told him to cool his jets on the island until April 12 and next time learn to make smarter decisions.

'Covid-breach' kayaker doesn't even make sense. You are about as socially distanced as you can get when out on a kayak.

You'll take the high road and I'll take the kayak,
And I'll be in Scotland afore you.
Where me and my paddle will never meet again,
On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.

He drove a couple of hundred miles through two countries to get there. Lockdown rules were no travelling over 6 miles from home unless in emergency.

According to Google Maps, the island is about 500 feet from the mainland. Could he not swim the kayak back? Paddled with a tree branch?

Fark:  He was using the paddle for fold in the cheese.

Seriously, 6 foot spacing?  That pretty easy with a 10 foot kayak.

Probably not, if the air temp plus the water temp equals anything less than 100 your going to have hyperthermia becomes an issue.

Yeah, the man was stranded alone on a deserted island, it's the classic isolation cliché.  Still, he probably got a second citation for not wearing a mask during his ordeal.

Temperatures were just above freezing and with wind-chill well below zero. That is enough for frostbite to take hold in minutes with water being a really good conductor of heat.

It wasn't the kayaking it was the travel from England to Scotland that breached the lockdown.

So what if he broke the rules you farking geeks. He's going out on a boat for Christs sake. But some pussy farkers love to see failure, if the subject is outside of their box, as in not taking covid as extreme as another. Like Karma got him because he's not following some silly rules, from an unrelated issue.
Good for him for getting out and not being a pussy
