That laugh track is the saddest thing ever.  It's like they had to buy all the laugh tracks from "Home Improvement" that never made it on air.

Conservative humour isn't.

Oofa....

Christ, not funny Greg Gutfield is hosting this abortion?

Every bit as puerile, insipid, and churlish as I would expect.

Which might be forgiven if any of it were actually funny.

Just wait until they drag out Dennis Miller

I don't think they're joking.

I have often wonder what it would be like if the writers of black mirror took mushrooms and wrote a bit and I wonder no more now

Good grief...
This is the problem with conservative humor; they need to beat a joke to death in order for their viewers to understand that it was supposed to be funny.
All they had to do is superimpose Brian Williams next to the Ingenuity choppa and it could've been funny.

Can't wait for the Trump review!

"Much better than SNL.  A yuge yit!"

Yeah conservative humor has three parts.
1. The joke
2. Telling people its funny
3. Telling people why its funny.

Also any conservative skit humor is like an SNL skit that ran 9 minutes too long.

And generally the joke is indistinguishable from an insult.

Do they have a special Ben Garrison cartoon for every show? With extra labels?

To be fair, everything he said was words.

.....to imagine how the hack writers were probably giggling to themselves as they were writing that unfunny garbage and doesn't even resemble humor.

They should invite Gallagher to smash some watermelons.

I think they might have been laughing that Fox was paying them to write that crap.

Conservative humor loses its punch when you can't say racial slurs.

There are some pretty basic formulas for writing for late night shows - monologues, skits, desk buts, etc. Hire a few writers, standard pay is in the range of 125-175, for under a mill you can have a decent writers room

2021-04-06 4:31:47 AM
So to make fun of CNN and MSNBC they have to create fake clips but when everyone else makes fun of Fox they just show actual clips from Fox

2021-04-06 4:33:01 AM
That was a perfect impression of a baseball.

2021-04-06 4:36:23 AM
They'll save the best bits for the second episode.  They have some great material about Bill Clinton getting a blowjob and Billy Carter's beer.

2021-04-06 4:40:28 AM
From the second clip:

"In fact, screw all corporations. You stupid execs are cowards and bad golfers; you cheat on your taxes and you cheat on each other."

Interesting that they would pick someone who clearly hates Trump so much to host a Right wing "humour" show.

Don't forget the part that every joke is about punching down at others with zero self-awareness.

Was...that SUPPOSED to be funny somehow? Do they even understand the concept of "humor"?

Conservatives are never funny. They engage in tone deaf, mean spirited gut punches, are never timely or hip. They were the guys in college who were way too serious and fanatical about their beliefs while everyone else said, "it's a party, shut up."

It's part of the reason why they're conservatives.

I'd love to see a comedy show made by him.

It would be funny because there's a laugh track.

JFC that's pathetic.

Not necessarily.   The mean-spirited kind of humor that conservatives favor doesn't require much empathy, or even humor.  It just requires a victim and the desire to punch down.

That's not humor, though, that's just being an asshole. Nothing funny about that except to empathy-void assholes.

Political humor isn't about slandering those you dislike, it's about exposing wrongdoing. Conservatives can't do political humor because for any wrongdoer on the left, there is at least one wrongdoer on the right doing something similar yet far worse which conservatives refuse to acknowledge. Until they are willing to hold their own to the same standards they want others to follow, they can't do political humor.

Humor can involve outrage but it must be outrage that's based on truth. Conservatives don't have any justifiable outrage, only hatred.

I hate that smarmy guy. I hated him on The Five and I don't understand why they gave him a full show.

With that ever present smirk,, he looks like he's always about to look over both of his shoulders and tell you a dirty/racist joke and laugh too hard at it.

I will say this, though.  After seeing FOX News on at the gym a few times I'm surprised didn't go with "The Burning Effigies Hour" instead.

I can think of nothing more appropriate  then the canned laughs of the dead from half a century ago for this. Their sentiments are certainly from those times do makes sense the laughter should too. Bad ideas from a time and age where people like them had all the power and everyone else was "Behaved properly" to them.

However as Wrex once said "I'll drag your clan to glory whether it likes it or not."
