Luckily, he has a great deal more of his own time now to pursue his hobbies.

Seriously, though, while I do maintain that he has every right to believe and espouse almost any hateful sh*t he wishes, he was in a position of public trust, and the beliefs he demonstrated damaged or even eliminated any reasonable expectation that he would be able to fairly and dispassionately serve certain groups within society.

Unless he was really bad at collecting porn, then I am guessing the majority was not of children. He is obviously bad at things, but finding porn isn't that hard.

IMHO it shows that the police was trying to find a reason to fark with a Nazi, because the law allows them to make the case public if they can find child porn.

He's 22, that's kinda close to when it's acceptable to date a 17 year old. I'm saying, if they found one, one, picture of a girl under the legal age, then unless that was the single picture, video, etc., then perhaps there's a pattern of him not being a pedo.

A Nazi, yeah.

If a person is dealing drugs to kids on their lunch break off-site and that person's supervisor happens upon them, the manager should say, "You're on your lunch break. Carry on. See you back at the office."

I'm sure that some people said the same about Timothy McVeigh.

He was also being a domestic terrorist on his own time.

They only charged him with one count of images of child abuse and are not mentioning the usb full of child porn because there is to be a separate trail and so has reporting restrictions.

That is of course possible.

It'll come to light.

I invite you both to study the official judges' guide to reporting restrictions in order to find anything justifying the claims that

(a) Cases involving images of child sexual abuse are automatically exempt from reporting restrictions

(b) A case involving a neo-nazi police officer would have been subject to reporting restrictions

(c) A single conviction for possession of images of CSA could be publicised before a full trial.

Section 4.5 is the bit you want. I'll wait.

He isn't - far right organisations are illegal in Britain.

In the UK, far right organisations are illegal and a police officer found to have been a member of one in the past will be arrested and convicted.

The reason you know about this is because the UK doesn't accept racist organisations.

Well, he was telling me that the fact an American cop is on trial for murdering a black man is proof the the USA is irredeemably racist. So if us holding a racist to account means we're racist, wouldn't the British holding a racist to account mean they're racist?

I never said I understood his logic.

Yeah, we have no rights in the UK. Our law is based on a set of rules defining what we cannot do rather than a set of rights that outline what we are always allowed to do.

As far right organisations are illegal, you can't be in one. You have no 'rights' to fall back on to back up any time you are caught in one.

The statements 'the UK has banned racist organisations' and 'the UK has a problem with racism' are not mutually exclusive.

If they were not a problem, why did they get banned?
