I dunno about you but driving my car is super important to my general and specific illusions of control of anything so f/ck self-driving vehicles.

Dammit, Elon. People already think that we're at level 5 car automation. We are ACTUALLY at 0-2.

We had autonomous vehicles over a hundred years ago.

A CEO hyping something? That never happens.

Your self-driving car has the same personality as Elon, and there's no way it's slowing down, or stopping for a cop car.
Oh sorry--you got the beta version. It wants to BE a cop.

I can at least understand why people want actual self-driving cars. But I do not get the appeal of these worst-of-both-worlds "self-driving but demands constant unblinking supervision" cars. That seems like all the tedium of driving with none of the activity.

I kinda do really want a car that can come pick me up, even if it's across town. I'll take control when I get in. If it happens to hit something on the way to me that's what insurance is for.

So elon himself admitted to regulators that he is engaging in an ongoing campaign of false advertising that is putting lives at risk just so he can make more money?

Isnt that basically putting a gun to his head and letting people who sue him pull the trigger?

Yo, Elon, remember that time when you opened your factory during a pandemic before we said you could? Good times. Oh yeah, we're gonna need to know more about your new auto pilot features. Please elaborate. Use two emails, if needed.

God I love this farking state.

Kinda interesting timing to overpromise on the autopilot status, seeing as how the stock has been dropping.   I'm sure its totally unrelated.

Elon keeps trying to find a workaround for what Trains have been doing for the last 100+ years. But because the US is balls deep with the auto industry, we'll keep getting these shiatty ideas like that car hole loop.
