Huh.  That's unusual.  I wonder what it takes for a cop to be held accountable for a crime?

Oh.

Oh.

Pedophilia. Even a cop's union will run away from a cop accused of sexually abusing minors. But murdering people? No problem, innocent cops until proven absolutely guilty!

And you had better make sure the police department involved has *nothing* to do with collecting the evidence or knowledge of who the witnesses are to the murder(s), because suddenly the chain of evidence will get broken into a billion pieces and the witnesses will suddenly end up getting named as suspects (this only applies to murders the police commit while off-duty and not involving "stopping" another crime, if it happens on-duty, qualified immunity and the cop involved gets to collect overtime filing paperwork and watching YouTube and Facebook Live until the police union gets the no-bill taken care of).

It happens. My local police department had a cop committing rapes. He was on payroll while in jail for 2 years because their union contract says they cannot be fired if they are merely charged with a crime.

One year pay for double homicide? People have been murdered for less.
