Above their shoulders like humans. If Angelina Jolie wore a tie, she wouldn't wear it just below her chin.

Shouldn't we test this out of giraffes before we start speculating? This is bunk science.

Just spitballing here, but I'm going to guess "round its neck".

A paleontologist, a professional stylist, an artist and the dinosaur designer for Jim Henson's 'Dinosaurs' sitcom were all willing to waste their time with this question

Ok, that's a fair statement for the first two, but the last couple (definitely the last) weren't really wasting their time if part of their job is figuring out how a dinosaur would wear human clothing.

/The task might be silly, but silly isn't inherently a waste.

It has only one neck, so the question is moo.

A better question is would a monkey wear pants with a tail hole (more comfortable, but requires full removal of tail to go to the bathroom*), or a little extra room in the back for the tail to stick out and make taking off/putting on easier?

Maybe a tail hole would be a fancier type of pant. One they could wear for formal occasions.

They kind of wasted their time with their chosen professions though (although I'm sure they make good money so I guess not.

Did the same thing though? Again, silly isn't a waste of time.

I think the documentary Jurassic Park supersedes The Far Side.

Errrm...those dinosaurs were paid to do that movie.

I remember an interview with one of the dinosaur park owners here.  Apparently, some uptight young parent took exception and asked the guy, "Well, what gives you the right to decide what colors those dinosaurs were?!"
And he just shrugged and replied, "'Cause I'm the one with the paint can."

If they're sophisticated enough to wear a top hat and tuxedo, no doubt they're evolved enough to wear diapers.

Halle Berry said they'd wear a tie the same way as everyone else, then she went back to electrocuting Toad.

Nothing supersedes The Far Side.

They could have a tail hole, but with buttons or a zipper above it. Or snaps, I think snaps would work best.

Wait - *the* Kirk Thatcher was a producer/dinosaur designer on Dinosaurs? The same guy who was "punk on bus" in Star Trek IV? I'm impressed with the variety of his career (and yes, I'm aware of how the punk thing came to be, including his own band's song).

That only works for cartoon ponies because they don't have genitals. If quadrapeds needed to wear pants, they would need the pants to cover their genetalia, leaving you with the two options of hind legs only, or all 4 legs in pants.

Probably a flap like a union suit.

The boring answer is that a necktie is worn around the collar, so it would depend where the collar is, assuming the brachiosaurus has something akin to a collarbone. The better answer is that they would wear it under the chin, because the really long tie would be hilarious. I'm 6'4" and still mess up the length when I tie a tie like two times before I get it right, so it'd be hilarious with a brachiosaurus.

An important question is completely overlooked here. How would a brachiosaurus put on the tie? I don't believe that it's feet would even be able to get near it's collarbone. They just don't seem long enough or able to bend in the right way. I would imagine though that it would be to use it's long neck and bing it's head near it's front feet. So it seems to me that the only way a brachiosaurus could put a tie on itself would be at the top of the neck and and not the bottom.

There's probably a tool for that...
