To save some clicks:

Right up front, let's clarify that "healthiest" in this HealthyBeat list is measured in terms of calorie count, which isn't a holistic way of assessing the food you eat each day and certainly falls short in terms of measuring actual nutritional content. So, take this data for what you will.

And they're picking items from each menu at random, instead of taking the most popular?

Little Caesar's sells round bread products with cheese and sometimes meat and tomato sauce on them; they're not the least pizza-like allegedly-pizza product I've seen from a chain (Mountain Mike's, a California chain, wins that.)  It's possible they're one of the better sources of calories per dollar, if you're poor and need nutrition.

We just made up a list based on random things we pulled out of our ass so take that for what you will.

Maybe, but there was a LC around the block from me and none of my dogs had any interest in their pizza, slices of which were often lying on the sidewalk.  And anyone who has owned a dog can tell you how low a dog's food standard is.

I have totally been in a position where I had to weigh what I got cost vs calories.

Potatoes rice and beans are always an option.

Your dog may be lacking vital nutrients and is trying to absorb as much as it possibly can from its food.

Years ago, Little Caesar's had the sense to recognize that they were not competing against Domino's so much as they were competing against Tombstone and Red Baron.

They didn't compare apples to oranges for this study, they compared apples to rocks. Of course a slice of Little Caesar's has fewer calories than an entire Pizza Hut large Pan Pizza. That does not mean it has any nutritional value beyond raw calories.
