People that know the attackers are our only hope.

These people sure do have a lot of angry exs and family. If I was dumb enough to do anything like the Jan 6th riot my mom would drag me to the FBI by my ear.

How fortunate we are then that they have been such raging assholes for so long that people gladly turn them in.

I have a wingnut Brother in Law that is big into Qannon, and a major Trump supporter.  You better believe I am turning him into the FBI if I ever see any of his pics at the capital riot.  Guy ruins every family event he shows up to, in the most redneck hillbilly way possible.

I constantly check riot photos to see if I can find him.  I have a good feeling he is somewhere in that crowd.  He's become my own personal "where's Waldo."

Every one of them that gets caught makes me smile.

Every one that gets turned in by family or a close friend makes me smile like that guy on Survivor.

It's even better when they cry about their hero leaving them in jail while he pretends he doesn't know any of them.

"I didn't get a pardon? But-but he said he loved us..."

I really like your mom. Not in the usual Fark way, either.

I look for my wingnut Qtard family members in the riot pictures too. Last time I saw them was over two years ago and they wre threatening to kill me cause I dared to point out Trump was imperfect and so was the tax and health bills that ended up screwing them anyways.

Mods:

This link goes to the wrong place. It doesn't go to the report about Eric Barber, the former Parkersburg City Councilman. It goes to some other maga-diot.

This link does:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/national/ex-west-virginia-councilman-charged-in-capitol-riot/2021/03/03/fb9eedc8-7c77-11eb-8c5e-32e47b42b51b_story.html

And as a guy that has met this piece of work, let me tell you... I live next door to Parkersburg, so thankfully, this asshole has never represented me personally. But I do a some charity work in the city, and I'm good friends with members of the LGBTQ+ community there.

Why do I say that specifically? I'm not trying to go, "I'm from WV, I have gay friends!"

I'm saying because:
- This man bullied the hosts of a "Drag Queen Book Reading" where local Drag Queens would read books to children at a local library funded outreach initiative

- This man rallied local white nationalists into showing up to provide "security" at a BLM march this summer

- This man routinely harassed one of my councilwomen (who is a member of the LGBTQ community) IN THE CITY NEXT TO HIS because of her lifestyle

- This man attempted to organize a demonstration against the last Pride fest we had pre-pandemic

- He's a former felon, and now a current one

- ON INSURRECTION DAY he gave an honest-to-God interview FROM DC to our local newsnets talking about the raid and how he didn't go inside

- He has harassed, intimidated, campaigned against LGBTQ rights in my area, is why Parkersburg WV never adopted a Fairness Initiative

- He's been sued repeatedly - and caused the city of Parkersburg to be sued repeatedly - for threatening and otherwise intimidating people that didn't want to participate in the lord's prayer before city council sessions in the council chambers

He is absolutely loathed here by anyone on the left side of things. People have not only been cheering about his arrest, I know one guy that even put his arrest warrant as his profile picture on Facebook. He's considered by many to be a disciple of Mike Azinger, one of the WV HoR delegates (and an utter asshole himself).

I cannot express how much of a dickbag this guy is.

Just ask him.  These nutjobs can't help but brag.  He'll probably whip out his phone to show you pix and video.
