paleryder69: Delivered!!

Got it! They all look safe for me, too! I was reading the labels and realized that a single one of these probably has more nutrients than I usually (but not always) get all day. Even if I don't live them, I'll pretend they're Super Juice!!! or something and drink at least one per day.

I put the banana flavor and the mocha flavor in the fridge, so I can try one of those first. Mocha has caffeine in it, too. Nice! That might be  breakfast. 😁

Thank you! ❤

domari: sherpa18: Diocletian's Last Cabbage: Happy Carturday everbuddy!

I remember the Alien/Vanna tour!  It was the weekend of the Binghamton St Patrick's Parade.  Arrived at the motel around two in the afternoon half in the bag, and left at two or three AM in the same condition.

It was Domari, Cretin Bob, me, Alien, and one or two local lurkers I think.  Best damn time I had in BungnTurd, even if I did pass out at the Ground Round!

Alien?  If you're reading this, please know that I forgive you guys.  Even though you DID stick me with the check!!

;-{D

I can testify that you were indeed all in the bag because you don't remember the rest of us (but you did do a great job holding up the wall y'all were leaning on)  :o)

Ha, you beat me to it. There were several more there he didn't remember, or see.
I do have a picture of him still standing upright, it was still early.

For some reason when I'd put "please leave on small table near front door and ring video doorbell" in the notes for food deliveries, most of them would ring the bell and then just .... stand there. Holding the food. Looking for the table that was right there.

Since my mom put that little rug out to air dry, they're all suddenly putting deliveries on the little table.  That little rug may have to stay right there. Apparently the little table is invisible without it!

Real Women Drink Akvavit: CrankyAndi: Ellie is NOT happy with me.  I just used one of the anti-fungal wipes on her chin, nose, cheeks, forehead and ears.  I could not get her pill in her this morning for the staph infection so I will do it later today and switch time to that time of day...supposed to be every 24 hours.  I did get her to eat some food...but had to push the plate under the bed using a yardstick....and then she ate about 1/2 of it (which was a full can of fancy feast)  I take that as a win

Mississippi roast in the crock pot.  Sourdough was fed so I will be making rustic sourdough bread soonish.

And my car, my car, IS HOME!!!!  Do you have any idea how wonderful it is to step on the gas and have the car go?  And to start the car and not freak out?  All Four O2 sensors failed....I was running on fumes!!!  And the catalytic converter was also causing some problems so it was replaced.  And a slew of consumer product safety things done.  Fuel induction service was also performed.

I got in and the car is relatively quiet (no rattle from the back, Catalytic converter).  And when I stepped on the gas, it went, no sputter or anything     I felt relief when I started it back up after my short trip to one of the PetSmart's (there are 3 of them within a 3 mile radius of my house)....I got some new dog/cat beds for my bedroom so the furkids have some new beds to fight over.  One of the nasty ones went in the trash this morning, it was being held together with safety pins.

YAY! At the car stuff, ELLIE! Mommy is trying to help you! at the Ellie stuff. I wish we could get them to accept that and then let us do that.

When I first got home my mom was trying to give Earl her meds, but at evening med time I was sleeping and Earl was not about to leave my side. She missed a couple of days of her evening dose because of that, which no one told me at the time or I would have done my part by making sure I was awake at Earl's evening med time. 🙄

Mississippi roast.   Chuck roast in crockpot.  Top with a package of ranch dressing, package of au jus gravy, stick of butter (I leave it as a stick) throw in some Greek peppers(whole). Add a little of the pepper juice.    Slow cook for 8-10 hours.  It is Devine.

I'm going to try Mississippi chicken sometime soon

A TFette over on TFD gave me her mom's easy peasy Crock Pot pot roast recipe that can also be used on a pork roast (shoulder roast is best).

3-4 lb chuck roast or pork roast (shoulder roast preferred over loin)
1 packet Good Seasons Italian dressing
1/2 packet au jus gravy mix (Don't use more than half or roast will be too salty)

Put roast in Crock Pot, then sprinkle the Good Seasons Italian dressing over the roast followed by the 1/2 packet of au jus gravy mix. Put lid on Crock Pot and cook on low for 8-10 hr. Roast will be fall apart tender. I like mine with mashed potatoes and a vegetable like carrots or brussels sprouts, but you do you.

My first test really stung.  I have a slightly deviated nose, so the left side is narrower than the right side.  I didn't think to request the nice lady test the right side.  So she tested the left side and pulled out a bloody wand.  Ugh!  The second time, on the right side, was much less unpleasant.

Good luck on your pulmo test.  Remember: Blow!!!  (This will be funny after your test.  I once asked them not to yell at me, and was told that studies showed the yelling helped.)

I have one of those disposable testers and practically blew my lungs out and it's very very low so hence the official test. I had a deviated septum and they operated on it. My wife would watch me or patched me up if I was believing but when they pulled the shunts out of my nose from all the way back into my maybe sinuses, and farther than the Covid test, she had to leave the room couldn't watch it

Got mine (negative) back in the fall of 2020. Lane County Public Health's community testing folks came to our apartment building and tested everyone who signed up (70 tenants, all negativ).

Left nostril felt a bit weird, but painless. Right nostil, I got a sharp pain just as the tech was finishing up, but I don't know if it was because she accidently push the swab in a little too far or because I have a slightly deviated septum. Either way I had a sinus headache before I even got on the elevator from the basement community room to the 5th floor where my apartment is. Took about 3 days for the sinus headache to go away.

Talked to some of the other tenants the following day and none of them felt any pain or real discomfort so I suppose it depends on the individual.

I'm pretty sure I linked this recipes.txt file here before, but here it is again. Not all of them are easy or uncomplicated, but many of them are within the range of a college student without much experience.

Well I never was tested for it, even though I was in forced quarantine from work just after Thanksgiving.  I still haven't felt horribly sick, and I'm thankful for that.
That being said, I just received my first vaccine dose (Pfizer) 3 hours ago.  I feel a little run down, but nothing bad yet.  For the most part, it was similar to the flu shot I get every year.  Not a bad experience at all so far.  Ill be fine as long as my boys take care of me.

Real Women Drink Akvavit: I have two jumbo artichokes! Mom is going to help me prepare them, if necessary. So how do you guys like fresh artichokes?

I usually do the steam/braise/boil thing (season the water with garlic and onion and whatever) and then dip in melted butter or mayo (one of the few ways I'll eat mayo). However, these guys are JUMBO jumbo and I don't want us to get tired of them before mom and I - but mostly just I can nom them. I thought we'd ask for ideas to maybe switch it up a little. So like post-cooking things/serving suggestions, I guess.

Gracias!

/they were on sale for $1.50 each and  are JUMBO JUMBO GINORMOUS Jumbo!
//they're about 3 or 4 "hungry RWDA" sized servings each! 😲
/// that's a lot of yummy nommy to try to not get tired of eating

We use artichoke hearts in a lamb stew that is tomato based. I like to serve it on Orzo. You could also make your own "italian dressing" and marinate some of it!

That's classic cat behavior right there.  Most of the cats my family's had would do exactly that.

In a slightly odd turn of events, a tvtropes editor wrote an entry that referenced a thing I wrote about 22 years ago. (Open the "Video Games" entry in that page and then search for "Zangband" to find it.)  I have created and written a large number of things, but the Zangband copy I have written has more legs than any code or copy I've written for commercial products.  *shrug*
