UNC_Samurai: Now go ask Otto Graham, Johnny Unitas, and Sammy Baugh.  Guys who didn't get the benefit of a flag every time a defender looked at them mean.

Now there's a haircut you can set your watch to!

Tom-Servo: Huh, strange. I didn't see Dan Marino mentioned at all in the article.

Well, he died of gonorrhea...

phishrace: majestic: We just have to go with the metrics we have. I always thought Marino was the best actual quarterback. But not winning a single superbowl punts you on down the list. Brady is the best at winning. I don't think he is really an exceptional athlete, though.

Marino was definitely more entertaining. You almost wanted the phins to get down a couple of touchdowns so Marino could start the aerial assault. Brady has more 4th quarter comebacks, but he isn't nearly as much fun to watch.

Montana played before the salary cap and the Niners spent big. Before the salary cap took effect, they front loaded a lot of salaries for veteran players. Other teams also did this, but the point being, Montana had a lot of help. He did point out John Candy on the sideline during a huddle in the superb owl. Have to give him credit for that.

Marino lost 62-7 to the Jaguars in his final game. It was a fitting end to a loser career.

I grew up in a household where my dad was a Pats fan since 1960 because he grew up in Mass. My mom is from Palm Beach so she is a Dolphins fan. I grew up during the Marino years, my mother tormented my father and I as Pats fans.

Dan Marino should die of gonorrhea and rot in hell.

/my mother is also a Yankees fan
//she was a biatch growing up when it came to sports
///three slashies for the last 20 years Susan!!! Hahaha

You didn't see Boomer Esiason mentioned there either. What's your point?

I know, it's hard to remember a time before he had the refs wrapped around his finger.

Have you considered the possibility that your GF sees you as a project the needs to be fixed?
