Tell him to knock it off or face consequences.

Trump and his minions were the source of his behaviors.

Tell him it's not too late to be adopted by a nice couple in Hong Kong or Seoul.

Tell him that fireworks, pasta (allegedly) and kung fu also came from China.

Not trying to be flippant; but it seems he needs some exposure to what it's like being Asian, and what things Asians have done for the betterment of humanity.

Also, steamroll his PS4.

I have no idea where he heard these types of messages, because neither my husband nor I have ever even come close to suggesting anything like that.

Now, the jews on the other hand...

Gee, I wonder. Where oh where could he have heard such bigotry. And to emulate it! Maybe there was some important national figure that was using such language as a distraction for their own shortcomings on the virus.

Nah, someone like that would never be in a position of influence in this country. Also, try beating him before the butt stuff.

Eric Shun: Tell him it's not too late to be adopted by a nice couple in Hong Kong or Seoul.

Those are nice cities.

For real punishment, it could be a family in Manila, Jakarta or Dehli.

Tell him you'll beat him like you beat his mom.  That should put the fear of god in him

Let his peers deal with him. When he comes home one day with a broken nose, eye swollen shut, fat lip, and bruised all over his body is when you look at him and say "that's what you get for being an a**hole. Go to your room and wallow for a while!"

For a tourist maybe. Have you actually seen how people in Hong Kong live? Just read the comments on this article.

I am from Hong Kong. In fact, average 15m/sq person is based on 2009 figure, and may properly for upper middle income class or above. For ordinary citizen, buying new flat in 2017, 54 sq feet (5 sq meter)/person is already very large. .

He would not enjoy living there.

Tell him that bullies are not welcome in your home and that he should find a lawyer and get started on the emancipation process.  Ask him where he plans on living, and how he will support himself on his own.

I don't think making him dress up like Mickey Rooney is good parenting....

If I remember correctly, there are Etruscan artifacts that show evidence of pasta-making on the Italian peninsula, more than a thousand years prior to Marco Polo.

I agree with everything else you said.

Your child is bad, you're bad, and you should feel bad.

Just punishing him without explaining WHY what he did was wrong could lead to him thinking "That damn *ethnic slur* got me suspended and cost me screen time! Those *ethnic slurs* do suck!"

Sack/ovary up, address the issue, and parent.

He's already suspended and soon to be expelled? You should have dealt with this a long time ago. You don't get that far down the discipline line on the first go around.

Resign yourself to changing schools at the bare minimum.

FTFA: "he was actually the one being bullied last year!"

Just my opinion, but I bet that's why. When you find a button that finally works on your bully, it's hard for a kid to understand why you can't use something to make him mad, when he's always picking on you.

I and a friend, when we were 8 or 9, ding-dong ditched & got caught by some teenagers. They *literally* picked us up by the back of our shirts and carried us back to the house to apologize.

No one was home.

Then the teenagers said the couple in that house were elderly, & their kids & grandkids lived a long way away, so someone ringing the doorbell could cause them to rush & fall & get hurt.

Then they side-step kicked our asses and told us to go home.

I haven't been a fan of "pranks" since then.

Sometimes, social correction needs to happen, judiciously.
