Bezos resigned just in time.

Youre talking about the deep south where people constantly vote for things that make their life worse in every way

Pretty sure Amazon will be just fine.

ImmutableTenderloin: Bezos resigned just in time.

Didn't Carnegie resign and move to Scotland just before he had his "employees" beat down for striking?

History rhymes

Amazon is unionized in most of Europe, but they still seem to be doing just fine there.

Any American company that depends on competing on a global scale via dirt cheap labor doesn't have a sustainable business model.

Look, every dollar that you pay someone is $1 out of Bezos pocket. Don't you care that he has to put food on the table for his family

Well, the 3rd world got wise but they've convinced Americans that getting screwed is bootstrappy.

Autoerotic Defenestration: [Fark user image image 586x426]

Downside: every company also wants you to make an account, unsubscribe from their email, you have to have yet ANOTHER point for either unified password exposure or rent on LastPass etc.

I too, am generally against middlemen, but they're is something to be said for one-stop-shopping in the pre-biometric, multi-factor authentication Internet.

Unfortunately that's only mostly true. I've had to order a few odds and ends I could literally not source anywhere else. And since I've spent the better part of 20 years working in procurement, I'm pretty good at sourcing things. Problem being, quite a few shops use Amazon as their storefront. And that should have flagged some antitrust laws, but yet here we are.

But, fark Amazon, hope the unions sodomize them with a rusty fist.

The real reason that Amazon is scared is that they fear that the unions will apply those same Time Off Task metrics to management.
