markie_farkie: markie_farkie: There's a mega Kroger close by.  You know, because you might want a new couch while you're picking up milk, bread, eggs, deodorant, cat litter, hemorrhoid crime, and beer.

Cream.

First one, then the other.

tintar: I guess Tarzhe counts, maybe? not that I'd ever call it my "preferred" lol. I was definitely shocked to find out they sold food, and for the longest time was the only place carrying that recently-new carrot-based "hummus" the wife loves so very much.

I would hardly count Big Lots, but it always amuses me that when we go there to buy kitty litter or cases of water, they have all this living room furniture on display, and ginormous electric-fireplaces, etc.

Super Targets might. They combine a smallish supermarket with a largish Target. Usually enough for my normal shopping.

/Be a cold day in hell before I add "hypermarket" to my lexicon...
//Or recognize Missouri.

Guess I don't need to stand in line behind you at Meijer, then. Cool!

Retiree-like typing detected.  If you had the choice between "go to store A for produce, store B for bread, store C for meat, store D for eggs/milk, and store E for other" or "go to store N for all of the above", you'd choose the latter unless you had a metric fark-ton of spare time.  Les français aiment les hypermarchés, n-est'ce pas?  When it comes down to money and time, (convenience >> most stuff) according to what people actually do.

I see you have met my parents
They will go to 4-5 different places getting groceries and then wonder where the day went
When I go for them I tell them Im going to X I am not going all over town to save fifty cents on groceries and spend five dollars on gas I dont have all day to spend doing self check out but thats another story

Went to Auchon and Carrefours regularly when I was in France.

Where I first saw Baywatch (Alerte á Malibu) action figures.
