Or you realize that the military is an old boys network intent on looking good and that anyone who speaks out or acts too far out on their own initiative is farked?

/ example: that shiat with the capital. They were dragging their feet when the obvious order was to reinforce the Capital PD and Metropolitan PD. And, if Gen. Walker had done that without waiting for the authorization....he probably would have gotten to retire

The 3%ers, the Oath Keepers, the Proud Boys, CPAC, the Republican Party, Fox News, OAN, Sinclair, Breitbart, World Net Daily, Newsmax, and RedState should all be designated as terrorist organizations and the full weight of federal law enforcement should be brought to bear on them.

Here's an idea. Maybe stop calling them militias and start referring to them as gangs or terrorists. Militias serve the state governor. These racist yokels only serve Trump, who holds no elected position.

Umm, of course there are a lot of cops and military people in the 3%ers. Their whole schtick is that they're the tiny minority willing to take up arms to defend people's rights and freedoms, and therefore they're the only ones whose rights and freedoms really matter, and they are fully justified in using armed force to stop anything they don't like. Half the military folks I know have a superiority complex about their service, this isn't a huge step further.

This is how I know he did not take his OPSEC training (or EO, or basically any of it) seriously because if he did he would have known this was a dumb thing to do that would immediately put his clearance at risk.

American flags, or altered American flags (like so many that they've been flying)? Because United States Code Title 4 Chapter 1 §3 is down with that, especially in the District of Columbia.

I don't know why D's simply don't use the right wing's tactics against themselves in the first place.

Simply label white supremacist groups as gangs based on the standards that the FBI and right wingers themselves established in the 90s back in the tough on crime era. Hell, the Juggalos are legally considered a gang by the FBI, it wouldn't take but a few EOs to apply it to the III% crowd and the like.

Yeah, I don't think I've worked with any IT coworkers in 13 years that were anywhere close to radical right, now that I think about it. Don't even know if I can think of any righties, actually. And that includes a company that was headquartered in Sterling Heights, MI, which has made more than one news story over the last 4 years covering how much that place really, really loves Trump.

Calling this a "hack" -- even a "simple hack" is being pretty generous, given the whole "exposed to public view" thing.

I get why that's the shorthand, and there's some technical details about how it was exposed that the article doesn't cover, but still...

Round these parts they're called Ya'll Queda. Spotted on the way into work. 3% sticker. Punisher, etc. I like the Lady Liberty Holding A Rifle Just Like Heston Sticker. Molon Labe...of course the Come and Take It.

I'm thinking of making a Come and Take It bumper sticker but instead of an AR-15 it's a uterus.

People who flaunt their hobby to this extent are weird. People who work weird politics into their hobby flaunting are deranged.

Maybe we should introduce them to the Five Percenters. You know, just for funsies. That critical 2% difference might lighten their load a bit, as the former skins who traded in their boots and braces for an undercut and wingtips suddenly realize that they need to be anywhere that armed black people with equal revolutionary zeal might be.

To be fair, I fully realize that I am the White Devil in their eyes. Been told by some good friends' uncles and cousins, but still I'd cheer them on, and heck even join in, even at my age, because these weasels making excuses for their sedition need to be put on notice.

Seriously. Every time Republicans lose an election, these idjits show up with threats and "concerns" about democracy, because showing up armed every time your boy loses an election says everything about their values, and ain't none of it got to do with 'Murica or patriotism. These motherf*ckers can't just lose a fight, pick up their teeth, and sit their asses down. Accept that they got whupped, and move the f*ck on. They take it personal, or worse, they take someone else's loss personal, because they're getting a chance to live out a power fantasy that just hasn't been true since the 40s, and right now, they're rooting for the fascists. Take that back, their fantasy can be traced back a bit later, but that sh*t bore out some strange fruit...

So people with security clearances were associating with this group.

I kind of believe the ones who said that they just showed up at a mixer once and were added to the membership base. Churches do that a lot. And they keep members on their rolling after they move to another city. Why? Because they look more important. And it used to be a way to get and keep bulk mailing rates for newsletters. My mom was hired by a church with fewer than 40 actual members, but their membership rolls had over 500. They needed to send out 100 bulletins at a time to qualify for bulk rates so she negotiated them down to 105 because the regional office set its own budget based on the number of members in congregation in the region. Of course everyone cooked the books and nobody submitted payments to the regional office based on the cooked numbers so there was always a budget crisis at every level of the denomination.

But I also know it happens in at least two other mainstream denominations. I just assume that many groups work the same way. I'm probably counted as a member by a dozen different congregations and I'm an atheist.

So while on the one hand I'm all surejan.gif I also know that it is to their advantage to puff up the numbers and they already don't care about following the rules of society so I'm sure they do just add anyone they can.

2021-03-04 3:41:11 AM
Many of the members revealed by the leak have extensive armed forces experience, including some who are still serving in the US military.

Well, the thing is that a LOT of people in the US have military experience. It's the end result of having a volunteer army that provides such a nice severance package in the form of lifetime health insurance, guaranteed education, skilled training, and national job networking opportunities.

I've run into people with "extensive armed forces experience" everywhere from bartending to security work; so let's not get our panties in a bunch JUST because there are dipshiats in 3% groups have military training. The larger concern is what those military personnel have training in, first of all, and secondly, what are they using it for within the 3%-er group.

If their "extensive" experience consisted of basic training and then a two-year enlistment at Ft. Dix where they worked in the motor pool, that's less concerning than a 20-year Special Forces colonel who's been organizing training missions for his militia, for instance.
