wrong.  The "H" was for the Aramaic word for "tap dancing".

An initialized version of "Jesus Christ" looks like "THC."

That works.

The odd thing is that the central letter of a monogram is the surname, not the middle name.  It ought to be Jesus Christ Huevos, or somesuch.

The H stands for 'haploid'

Its from high school.

His nickname was "El Hoagiemeister" because when they opened that Subway in Galilee he kinda went crazy.

Oh. Thought his middle initial was F.

Don't care.  I always go with "Jesus Tittyfarking Christ."  Seems to do the trick.

I learned that the H was from his fathers first name: Howard.  From the prayer, Our father, who art in heaven, Howard be thy name.  It is not uncommon to give a child the fathers name as a middle name.

Except Christ is not his name, its a title. It's Greek for "anointed one". Just like Caesar is a title (family name: Julii, first name Gaius but he would rarely be called that).

His actual name was probably something like Yeshua Ben-Yusef. (Jesus son of Joseph).

/the H? No idea where it comes from. Probably means holy.

You didn't need to put the DRTFA at the end.  We knew because everything you said was in the first 2 paragraphs of TFA.

Here's an awesome cat goddess: Bastet, or B'sst't was a huge hit and the source of one of the most popular celebrations in late period Egypt. 700,000 people all went to one city and partied.

Herodotus claims that Bastet's festival was the most elaborate and popular in Egypt. Egyptologist Geraldine Pinch, citing Herodotus, claims, "women were freed from all constraints during the annual festival at Bubastis. They celebrated the festival of the goddess by drinking, dancing, making music, and displaying their genitals". This "raising of the skirts" by the women, described by Herodotus, exemplified the freedom from normal constraints often observed at festivals but, in this case, also had to do with fertility.

Those Egyptians really knew how to party.

I mostly find the mental image that results from a common saying funny. It's less offensive than a lot of religious things that people say seriously.

FTFA: The first letter is the Greek letter iota <I ι>, which looks like the Latin letter <I> and makes the sound as in the word machine, or sometimes the consonantal [j] sound as in the word yellow.

In other news, there's apparently a j sound in the word yellow. I guess I've been saying it wrong my whole life.
