Man you guys are going to run with the gag for years.

Unless they're in Texas and they lose power.

Half that cost is their own power plant, I assume. Being in Texas, and all...

Yeah, that so unfair.  We should only joke about recent events like dead voters in Chicago or Philly fans throwing batteries at Santa Claus.

Electriclectic: I hope this narrative about the electric grid haunts Texas for years to come. Texas may not go blue in 2024, but the Republicans will bend over backwards to accommodate new business.

It sucks that they would put in more effort to improve the state to steal businesses from CA than for the good of the citizenry, but we can't wait for Democrats to wield legislative power in Texas to make these bare minimum required changes.

Yeah, Texas really screwed up by installing all of those renewables that the Democrats wanted them to, instead of using that money to improve their natural gas and nuclear generation capacity. Just a few more natural gas pipelines and winter-proofing their natural gas pumping capacity would have kept the whole place powered through the storm.

That'll teach 'em.

An 11 year old boy died in the Texas' failure of 2021 because he was trying to protect his 3 year old stepbrother. I think they've earned a few year's worth of haunting.

I half expect Tesla to fly in a million drones with cables to uplift their unfinished gigafactory and plop it down somewhere else with reliable power. Like a quick sight gag from the Simpsons.
