I don't know that Pittsburgh jazz is necessarily underrated...

Bass: Ray Brown, Paul Chambers
Drums: Art Blakey, Kenny Clark
Guitar:Joe Pass
Keyboards:Erroll Garner, Walt Harper, Earl "Fatha" Hines, Dodo Marmarosa, Mary Lou Williams
Sax:Stanley Turrentine
Trombone: Randy Purcell, Tommy Turk
Trumpet: Roy Eldridge
Written by: Billy Strayhorn
And sung by: Billy Eckstine, Lena Horne, Eddie Jefferson, Dakota Staton, Maxine Sullivan

It probably doesn't get the ink that NY, Chicago, NO, St Louis or other cities get, but it's certainly no slouch for the talent it's produced.

what about love for Harold Betters?

And I should add Joe Negri, he's also in the video I posted. Still alive, 94.

I cannot remember how many times I heard him play live
