Seriously - I have studied the rise of the third Reich a liiiiitle bit more than is probably healthy, and if you think that looks like a Hitler 'stache you have a major Nazi fixation.

We are in an era where people, regardless of political bent, are looking for ways to be pissed off and offended.

I hope I live long enough to laugh about it the way we laugh at 70's clothes and 80's hair.

I scrolled down to the picture and had no idea what they were talking about. Then I read the explanation, looked at the picture again and still didn't see it.

The only reason I noticed it is because I woke up this morning, saw something was shipped with this new icon, and realized Amazon updated it.

I'm guessing they forced the update (at least on iPhones) since I never saw the Prime Hitler icon until this article.

There should be a MS Paint or Ps contest on here for creating a new Amazon logo.

It'd be nice if companies would tell these idiots who could find something offensive about a street light to fark off.

Just wait until people find out that you can buy a copy of Mein Kampf on Amazon.  I found this out awhile ago when they refused to sell some book deemed politically incorrect and wondered if they were selling Mein Kampf.

Nah, it was regional.  They rolled it out to the areas Hitler attacked (or was allied with) first.  Spain, the UK, Italy, and the Netherlands.  People there commented on it.  And, I gotta say that when I saw the 'old' logo my first thought was Hitler as well.

I saw a mint-condition hardcover copy of Mein Kampf at my local secondhand bookstore.  About a two-inch thick book, black cover.

I left it on the shelf.

Next time I was there, it was not.

Short? It's over 700 pages long. Maybe you're thinking of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion?

Maybe the both of you are right.  I looked into it and the book was published in two volumes.  Perhaps the large ones have both volumes.  All I know is that the one that my grandfather brought back is rather small (like it might fit in the back pocket of my jeans).  Maybe it was also edited.  I do not know and cannot inspect it as someone is sleeping in the room where it is stored in a box somewhere.

I use the Amazon Seller Central app, which includes an ability to recognize most product covers. There have been two notable times it acted weird. Normally if it has to guess, it feeds back garbage. But The Turn Diaries and Birth of a Nation, it just returned a null. It recognizes them, but they are outright banned.

What was the title of the "politically incorrect" book that Amazon refused to sell, please?

Implied Hitlers aside for a second, there's another issue that really needs more concern.

Stop changing your farking icons all the time. Amazon's actually pretty good on this front, but as for those who've changed their icons like three times in the last five years, get bent. The only time I notice when someone changes their icon is when I go to look for the app in some might-as-well-be-text-free app drawer, only to probably give up and use the search bar because someone decided swapping a black background on an icon for white was a great idea.

Guys, it's not just a logo for advertising and buildings, it's an icon that people have to look for to use your app. Separate the two concepts or slow down.

Or, or, or...

You can arrange icons in a way that makes sense for you.

If you saw this logo and thought of Hitler, you should probably go and sign up for some therapy.  You've got issues to work out.

I had a paperback version years ago. The U.S. printings were abridged, but it still came out IIRC about 350 pages.

Still doesn't look like Hitler. Maybe if the swoop arrow was on top? Like I'm staring on it and staring and can not make my brain see a short little fascist.
