Straight Outta Wells Branch: I understand why JJ wants out of Houston. I think we all do at this point. However, this move makes absolutely no sense from his standpoint.

If JJ Watt wants to win a Super Bowl, Buffalo is a far better fit. Green Bay is a far better fit. Hell, the Browns are a better fit. Arizona isn't.

Did any of those franchises want him? Maybe not spending 15 million a year for a guy on the downside of his career is why franchises like GB and Buffalo are SB contenders?

Actually all three wanted him. Especially Cleveland.

He wouldn't go to Cleveland because he didn't want to play against his brothers team twice a year.

I think all 3 wanted them, it just depends on the price point.  23m guaranteed is a lot of money for a player who hasn't been healthy. Arizona isn't a bad team, but it certainly isn't a super bowl favorite, so it seems like this is more of a paycheck for Watt rather than trying to get a ring, which is a surprising to me.

JJ Watt is leaving Houston and its dysfunctional management to go to a team that has largely been inept for its entire existence. The Cardinals have the 4th best coach in the division & as things currently stand, the third or fourth best quarterback in the division depending on how you feel about Stafford.

The Cardinals aren't likely to win the NFC West anytime soon let alone the Super Bowl.

I'm not sure JJ Watt is as serious about winning as he is collecting a nice paycheck & being out from Jack Easterby's control.
