Winning teams generally have easier schedules than losing teams. It's just math.

This.

Winning teams play their own division twice, which is generally comprised of teams with worse records.

For instance, the worst team in the NFC South has to play both the Saints and the Bucs twice each, while those teams each get that dog twice.

Otherwise, with two exceptions, the remaining games are pre-ordained, rotating divisions..

/wish my favorite team had the four NFC East teams on its schedule last season.

Social Justice Warlock: I'm just here to read comments by those still unaware there's a formula for which teams get to play which teams and no grand conspiracy.

Not liking how it panned out does not mean that people don't know there's a formula. FFS some of us have been football fans for 40-50 years.

If you're still watching NFL after this season, there's no hope for you.

The only way the Eagles' schedule could be easier is if they played themselves.

Do a little research on NFL schedule making subturd.

Every team plays 2 games in against its division for 6 games.

Every team plays all the teams in another division in the same conference for 4 games

Every team plays all the teams in a division in the other conference for 4 games

Every team plays the teams in the two other divisions in its conference that finished in the same place as it did.

And the divisions your team plays against (except your own division) rotate every year.  In 2020 your team played 14 games against the same teams it played the same teams it played in 2008.

Do some research and it turns out that every team plays 4 games against 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place teams.

Depending on final standings your team might play another team two years in a row even if they are not in the same division

This sort of balanced scheduling has been going on since the merger and realignment to 13 teams in each conference and 14 games for all. Sometimes divisions are crappy and sometimes they are tough. You'll get over it.

Based on last year's won lost record, the author should have shoved his fist in his mouth.  Same correlation.

They were playing with themselves every single time I tried to watch them last season.

Sure, when you play Atlanta and Carolina twice (combined 9-23 in 2020), play four games against the NFC East and the AFC East being the inter-conference rotation, yeah, it's a creampuff schedule.

But these schedules were made out years in advance....maybe one reason why Buttermilk Brady chose Tampa.

If I learned anything from this list, and I didn't, it's to expect big things out of the NFC East next season.  Look at all those easy schedules.
