Charlotte have been on fire lately, but the Kings... oh my g... Whatever Walton does as a coach does not work and he should stop trying to be one.

That's a lot of time in basketball.  Back in the Larry Bird Celtic days, I'd see that score and that time on the clock and think.  Well boys, it's about time to take this seriously, and Larry would start to Larry.  Last night, the Celtics nearly gave it away at the end... again, and I was shocked when they buckled down and won it.

Nice comeback (really) and all but that's a ton of time in the NBA and honestly not that big a deal. One quick three to start it off and then you are guaranteed to get two possessions when down by only five. Still, doesn't happen every day. So good job by those basketball players

as a pacer fan in the 90s, we all know even 20 seconds isn't shut the door, over.

of course, 99.9 percent of the time it is.  but....hey theres a chance.

One of the better ESPN 30 for 30's 'Winning Time' does a great interview surrounding that day.

Even in college basketball, 69 seconds is a lot of time for a team to make up an 8 point deficit. I would expect it to be easier to do in the NBA with the 24 second shot.

I remember me and my old man losing our shiat when it happened.  Love reggie, love him grabbing his nuts and being a prick, love the back and forth with spike.  he wasnt just an asshole, he was OUR asshole.

You could cut an NBA game in half or double the length and it would still be the exact same product. If the road team is losing by 2 at any point during the game after the first points have been scored, you can reasonably bet that they will lose that game, and if they're ever losing by 10 or more, you can bet the house that they'll lose the game. You can use this method to predict the winner of NBA games after they start, and it's eerie how accurate it is.
