Just because the media shows us Uncle Joe's calm reassurances, don't forget for an instant that these people are even crazier now than they were before the election.

But hey, lets spend a few more months on bipartisanship and cooperation.

I just make my own now. 5 minutes every 4 months or so isn't much work.

2½ parts salt
2 parts ground black pepper
1 part paprika
1 part chili powder
2½ parts garlic powder
2½ parts onion powder
1½ parts dried oregano
1 part cumin
1 part turmeric

Badia does.

Yeah, they have really cheap spices. Not the highest quality, but for most cooking you can still get decent tasting foods with them. They are especially great for spices you are only going to use for a single dish to try or you only occasionally make it. Finding stores that have a full selection of the spices though, that can be tough in some areas of the US.

When I first moved to The Hague I sought out my spices. At the Afro-Indian markt I am known as the happy annatto gir. How is that ever a bad thing?

Well this time his statement happens to be technically true: the majority of the people of the United States did vote for the current President (who is actually in the office doing the job).

Penzeys are farking amazeballs, both in quality/flavor and their outspoken sass. it is pretty much the only time I enjoy seeing ads on the friendface.

still have half a case of Goya black bean "soup" (only because it's what remains from ~2 years ago, when I bought 2 cases of the stuff.) - pretty good stuff, really - all the seasonings means it's great as an ingredient to lazy chili.

more recently, some foodtab farkers recommended the below, so I bought a case - similar seasonings, except red/kidney/pinto beans not black beans, fine with me. plus? it has Real Western Flavor!!! (lol)

still pretty well set on various sazon - Badia, and also Knorr. no really, Knorr's tom-yam saltbricks aren't half bad lololol.

I'm guessing this is Unanue's first venture into the world of conservative politics.  They told him to say the former president really won, and he did so with all the subtlety of a fire hydrant to the head.

Your knowledge of hispanic culture is about as informed as your knowledge of weed.

Saffron rice is not germane to spain but too many cultures.  also outside of mexico and peru it is not common in latin america.

This is anecdotal for sure, but my grocery store used to run out of goya black beans.  Now they are often the only brand left.

At least at this one grocery store, Goya is taking a hit

I doubt it is still there, but I stumbled upon a Mexican restaurant in Amsterdam. Was pretty good, but some things were off, like the cheeses they used. Nice to have though when I had not had any in months.

*looks at my package of Vigo yellow rice*

According to the manufacturers, the stuff is made according to an "authentic Spanish recipe."

Also, Sicily belonged to Spain for over 200 years (~1492-1714).  Plenty of cultural interchange there.  So I may know more about this subject than you think.

Badia is a good brand, and their spices are relatively cheap, compared to McCormick's.
