"While so many bands of their '90s industrial/nu-metal ilk have slipped away into obscurity (Spineshank, Trapt or Powerman 5000, anyone?),

NME can fark right off. Just keeping a group together for 25+ years should be considered an acknowledgement.

Here's a heads-up: most bands will be lucky to even get out of obscurity in the first place, much less be able to avoid slipping back into it.

Old German dudes doing metal is like old British dudes doing 80s techno. You listen because you feel obligated, but in the end, you realize the only sound you hear is desperation.

Much shorter wait this time.  Good news indeed.

I imagine that not being able to tour has greatly reduced their fire insurance premiums.

Rammstein 2019 was great. We held on to our tickets for the 2020 tour (Montreal). Hoping for a make up show in 2022.

I also have tickets for the Montreal show.  I was super excited to finally see them again, but for now I will continue to wait.

I saw them twice and was excited that the Montreal show was going to be outdoors. The first time I saw them was in Montreal at the Bell Centre, and while the stage show was incredible, the outdoor show they did for Rockfest (2017?) was nuts!

A friend of mine saw them back in 2001 at a club in Toronto.  They still rolled up with their full pyro too.  I will always be insanely jealous of him for that.  Also angry at my parents for not letting me stay behind to go to the show while the rest of the family went on vacation.

I got to see them live back in the 90s. They set themselves on fire. I had a great time.

I saw them at the Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio in 2003. Standing only and entrance to the venue was delayed because, and I quote the door guy, "Rammstein's got their shiat everywhere!"

My god that was a great show. Mutter was still new.
