Riche: Skylab 3-- wasn't that the one where the crew basically mutinied because too much work was getting dumped on them?

How much of a stretch would it be to call them the first space pirates?


It was more of a strike than a mutiny.

I think the confusion was caused by the third mission  being called Skylab 4.

And snowflakes might be a bit much.  NASA overloading astronauts with too much to do had been a thing for quite some time. That was just the most dramatic fight over the issue.

STS-3 good old Columbia never got all the gypsum dust out of her after that landing at White Sands either.
