Republicans. The article says its a compromise bill, im sure the Republicans are thinking that they're going to control the fed again in 24. But the governor can amend the runway before he signs the bill. Not sure if that would get signed off on by the legislature.

Uh, that means nothing.  Companies test for tobacco and alcohol all the time.  Virtually any company testing for marijuana is testing it because if you're high it would make things dangerous.  They'll continue to do that.

It means nothing in the sense that it's still illegal federally... but even under the previous admin they didn't really go after it.  Unless you're doing something pretty blatantly illegal (or transporting a large amount of it over state lines), they tend to not care.

Vladimir Putin hates gay people, rainbow ice cream, unregulated rap music, America, the ghost of Director Dulles and marijuana.

That makes Putin a lame, uncool, dork because all of those things are awesome.

All of those listed things are good on their own but together their coolness mixes into something amazing, because Vladimir Putin is scared shiatless of whatever they form together.

Federal legalization will mostly just affect people involved in the legal weed business by removing roadblocks with banking, insurance and whatnot. Still worthwhile.

My money is on n SC or Kansas. We already have medical marijuana here in GA. The only places it's still completely illegal are ID, KS, AL, SC, WY and TN.  It reads like a Who's Who of Infant Mortality and Divorce Rate.

Federal legalization also removes a major Pretext Stop from police, who'll won't be able to use "suspected marijuana possession" as an excuse to search vehicles and harass people they don't like.

I've decided that the best thing about edibles (aside from the fact that you get high) is the fact that it makes it easy to dose with a high degree of accuracy. Whenever I make a new batch of oil, I run a small sample down to the local lab, and get a report back of the overall potency, along with specific breakdowns of the relative percentages of the top 9 cannabinoids.

My current batch is 11.3mg of THC per ml, so if I wanted to make a batch of 10mg brownies, 10x16 brownies means 160mg needed, so 14(ish) ml of "special" oil, topped off with however much "clean" oil is needed to bring the total amount up to what the recipe calls for.

I'm still perfecting the extraction/infusion process, but if I can crank the potency up to ~20mg per ml, I'll be happy. This little vial is 100mg.

Democrats hold both houses and governor here in VA. Article says House and Senate disagreed on the pacing for full legalization and retail recreational sale.

I think the Dems are afraid of backlash. The majority is pretty slim, and they are being cautious in their approach. The state is pretty divided. Using the blue/red coloring, if the part of the state borders or is really near a red state, that area leans red. With the same going for blue, it isn't perfect, but pretty close. The big exception is probably the coast. It went blue for Congress even though that is a huge military population around Norfolk. Of course active duty military can keep their original state residency if they choose, so that can actually reduce the local voting population.

When I moved here, the state was moving towards Democrat, but our Congresswoman was Rep. The county I live in borders MD and WV so by my observation could go either way, but now it is pretty solid blue. The state house district south of here has a trans woman as their rep. Will be interesting to see how the elections this year go.
