Not listing when this racist is commissioned and next duty station is means he has parted ways with USN. Only argument left was does he have to paid back the roughly $200k spent for him to get a BS and is it awarded. Guessing deal is no pay back and the BS is valid and he GTFO of USN.

You can STFU, and GTFO.

I'm guessing a guy inexplicably named Chase Standage can afford whatever legal fees he wants.

2021-02-27 11:02:21 PM
Standage's tweets, which were all responses, included saying Breonna Taylor "received justice" when she was killed by police and that "it only takes one drone strike" when responding to a tweet about antifa.

Sounds like we literally dodged a bullet by not letting him serve in the military.

They could have dug out one of the old two person subs in storage since WWII, stationed him in the Aleutian Islands and told him to fix and test it then he will get his next assignment once it works.  I'm sure the Navy has at least one other idiot that they need to babysit somehow.

As punishment, the USDA used to send people to count grasshoppers.  Often in the middle of winter and in places like western Nebraska.  Oddly enough they had entomologist that was gung ho enough to verify the work even in the middle of winter.

Or, if you're a biologist, send them to Alaska to count moose.

Or northern Maine.

Just ....run if you hear banjos.

Well, if our former commander-in-chief is anything to go by, suing is the first, best and only option available.

Not that it ever works, mind you.

There are some lessons here.

1. If you want to serve in the military, never forget those whom you serve. All of them.
2. Social media is a megaphone broadcast to the world, a public statement that reflects on you and the organization you represent. Don't use it casually.
3. When you have the honor and privilege to serve in our military as an elite officer, you give up your right to express extreme views in public forums. Its just part of the job, not abrogation of your rights.

Actually, you know what?  I say we let him in.  Let him receive his commission.

And then immediately arrest him and put him before a full court martial as a traitor to the United States.  See how much he wants to be a farking sailor when he's staring down a chance of riding the needle.  At the very least he'll probably be tossed out with a dishonorable discharge.

2021-02-28 5:07:52 AM
I like they ran a picture of him. That way when future prospects google him they can be sure it's the correct Chase Standage that tried to sue his way out of taking responsibility for being a dick.

farking hell I kept my mouth shut on anything even remotely political when I was in the Navy and this assbag says that hateful shiat before he even went to flight training?

That is the one reason soldiers should be, and must be, honored. They give up their freedom to preserve ours.

Now, looking at that picture, I can think of only one reason why Midshipman Standage is anxious to become a Navy pilot, and it's mostly to do with all those volleyball games he thinks they play at Miramar and Pensacola.

Both sides had to pay their own legal fees so it sounds like a tie.

I'm just here to point out that in the picture he's wearing the medal from the 2018 Marine Corps Marathon. And that I know this because I also ran the 2018 Marine Corps Marathon.

That's because he was an Air Force vet. If he'd been Navy, he would have done that routine about "Guys named Chase". They're the guys that spend 45 minutes combing their hair before they go on duty.

Nobody who sued an Admiral is ever going to see flight school. Guys like that have "unfortunate accidents" during basic training. Or go missing over the side of their ship.

A good friend of mine's kid was all gung-ho to joint the Marines all through his teenage years. That was his attitude, He was gonna kill mooslim terrorists and all that.

He talked about it from the time he was 14 or so. When he turned 18, finally got the paperwork done, swore his oath and marched off to basic training. Not even two years later he was back, sullen, pissed off and even more mouthy than he was before he left. He had been refused a re-enlistment because he'd gotten into some trouble while on some training operation in San Diego. He wouldn't talk about the Marine Corps anymore. Swore that they were all assholes and wouldn't talk about why they wouldn't let him re-up. His uncle told me about a year later that he'd been caught with a loaded (unauthorized) .45 and several boxes of ammunition hidden in his car after being pulled over on base for speeding.

Whoops.

The rules exist for a reason ya dumb shiat.

The 2003 grad here thinks the settlement is expulsion, no commission, keeps the degree & graduate credits, no payback.  Just a straight GTFO that he views as positive because he gets to be the next Madison Cawthorn and DoN sees as a win because we don't have to deal with an obviously toxic leader.

Seeing how far Robert E. Lee went after a West Point stint or two, this guy should become a bigshot at Annapolis and then join someone else's Navy, mostly likely one of a belligerent enemy.
