That's amazing work. It's not just photography. Costuming, make-up, lighting, set selection, design, and construction. That's a lot of work, but the end result is worth it.

As a kid I would have hated the whole thing. I think the dreams being fulfilled here are the parents' and photograph's. Kids would be happy with minutes of prep for an okay pictures instead of the many hours those must have taken.

I can see your point.  But if they took time and found the things the kid really liked and wanted in the pictures and then worked with them the entire time so they could see the end result taking place
