Anyone driving a Chevy Chrysler is up to no good.

Thursday morning, around 10, the LPD officer saw a red 2012 Chevy Chrysler with no plates driving near 27th and "O" Streets.

Pulling them over, the driver was identified as 30-year-old Claytavius Wiley. The officer noted a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the car, which prompted him to search the vehicle.

I don't think I believe any of that - especially the names.

There's a lot of selection bias among criminals. The dumb ones get caught. The smart ones don't.

'Continuing with the car search, LPD found several Nebraska in transit papers, marijuana scattered throughout, prescription pills not prescribed to Wiley, a stun gun, brass knuckles, and some ammo.'

I want to party with that guy.

Welp, can't tell who owns what, and made where nowadays.
Even back in the day, AMC borrowed parts from everybody. Need an ignition module for an ' AMC ' Gremlin, $50. Nope, buy one labeled Ford $15.

Was Claytavius the Roman who found the philosophers stone, or was he known as the stoned philosopher?  Associated with Weed the Dealer, according to some translations.

At a reunion a friend told me how he'd assembled a vehicle using as many different brands and models as he could. I say "vehicle" because the vagueness describes what he implied had emerged.

Lincoln cops are usually even stupider than that.

Cop always gotta assume the worst.  Maybe those drugs and weed was already in the car when he stole it.  And the gun???  Maybe he just found it and was headed to the cop shop to turn it in.  And the various prescription labels???  Well, you know how those insurance companies always try to screw you outta the drugs you need and sometimes you gotta use different names just to get what you have to to stay healthy.  I'm thinking Claytavius just got taken by the man.

"The officer noted a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the car, which prompted him to search the vehicle. " - TFA

That's not how it works. There's something missing here. Could be that they asked and he consented or that they got a K9 unit, or a warrant. But cops can't be 'prompted' to search your vehicle.

"marijuana scattered throughout " - TFA

Uh huh. Not in a bag... just ... scattered about.

So the "strong odor of marijuna" needed cover and that just about wraps it up.

/I think a good lawyer COULD get this thrown out unless there was consent for the search.

That was the same hanger in the nod to LGBTQ (specifically G) in the Miami Vice episode "Evan". It wasn't too badly done, there is some good action, but they obviously had a hard time with the subject.
