There is a shocking lack of concern about the fella that was shot four times in the chest! Thorough coverage about the one dog the was thankfully not kidnapped and comforted, while the man lay bleeding on the ground. Gaga's first public communication is a tacky pleading for the dog, and no apparent concern for getting justice, for the man fighting for his life.

If this was not a crime of opportunity, then they should look at those close to Gaga. There is a possibility that someone who knew her knew the times when the dogs would be walked and where they would be and wanted to extort money from her.

This si an attempted murder case- the police are involved.

If anyone is dumb enough to come forward for the reward, they can backtrack and find where the dogs came from, and catch the criminals

I don't know. I've think dogs of certain breeds are often targeted. They cost several thousand dollars each. That could be a tempting target. Especially if there are more than one dog in a haul.

Possible. It's also possible that someone just felt like stealing some designer dogs.

I lose mad respect when learning people didn't adopt a dog, but instead paid money for some puppy mill bullshiat like a french bulldog.

And I say this having slept like shiat because my 80lb street rescue is afriad of thunder.

But who risks murder/attempted murder charges over dogs?  I know, I know, criminals are often stupid, but I think it shouldn't have been too hard to steal those dogs without shooting someone.

CSB-
I had taken in 2 pit bulls while I was on Active Duty. They were terrified of thunder and hid behind me on the chair. I had to give them back to the owners because I was voluntold to get ready to head to Iraq. They refused to leave the car which was heartbreaking.

We adopted a pit from the local rescue in 2019 and she is too adorable. I have not encountered a breed that loves to cuddle as much as pit bulls do.

French Bulldogs are designer dogs. On the rare instance of there being rescue frenchies available, they are only available from breeders, and are stupid expensive. They get stolen pretty regularly for this reason. Criminals do dumb shiat when they think they'll get paid.

The man went to the hospital in stable condition and they know where he is and how to check on his status.

The dogs? Not so much.

Potties generally get a bad rep because of how they get exploited. All the rescue pitties I've met are exactly as you described, big loveable babies.

How do you know it was puppy mill? Maybe it was a legit breeder. Is that any better?

Mutts are best but I do love whippets and any sighthound really. Standard poodles are great. Both are genetic abortions and the culture of dog breeds is super messed up.

I grew up in the 80s.  Kids were killing each other over shoes.  There is probably a black market for celeb dogs. Some Russian gangster is going to brag about having her dogs.

You don't get through Tisch by having someone else sing for you ala Milli Vanilli or C&C Music factory. Like most modern divas (Ke$ha, Kelly Clarkson, Miley, Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, and the like), they actually can sing and play at least one instrument.

His reference point is MV. Not sure someone who last bought music in 91 (and only then Tesla's greatest) is worth it.

But yer right. Most of these kids' work is focused-grouped to death. And it shows. But they have talent.

You're right of course. These guys are crazy stupid to shoot a person in the chest, to steal a dog. It's a smart move to play on this very obvious lack of brains. In the case of kidnapping humans, they do not shoot people in the commission, because attempted murder is a more severe crime than kidnapping.

Given the GQP cultists penchant for violence and terrorism against any all people deemed "a lib" I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it was a motivating factor.

Hate to say it but given the heat this has brought that dogs dead and the murderer is long gone....

Here's to hoping the cops ACTUALLY do their job and find the scumbag. Then again, given their blatant political affiliations I would bet a dozen doughnuts the investigating team is spending more time on Draftkings than going over evidence.

Regardless of what you read on Fark, cops will bust their asses to try and find out who shot a simple dog walker just trying to do his job.  They might bring an ass kicking with them so then you can crap on them twice.

You say that like it's a bad thing. People have been doing that since the introduction of talkies. Most televised performances until the Ashlee Simpson debacle (and quite a few since), even if in front of a live audience, have been lip-synced/finger-synced (? or whatever you call it when you fake playing), often by necessity. You think the acoustics on the National Mall in potentially inclement weather are anything a sound engineer wants to deal with? Especially during a live set?

/Gaga, however, famously did her first SNL performance without any audio syncing. You can tell, because she screwed up and had to stop and rearrange her outfit so she could continue playing the piano.

In 2008 it wasn't about acoustics.

It was about the fact that the instruments would have been unplayable in that weather.
