Half a million corpses are not going to be kind.

But then in a sane country presiding over a disaster and mass death this large would result in terrible consequences.. in America it results in none.

And look at you all forgetting about it and arguing over the deckchairs.

Stupid stupid stupid.

No, no it will not.

What in the hell did I just read? 🤪
That was the stupidest attempt at trying to put sentences together.
I wish they'd stop letting 5th graders oped without editing supervision present.

Playing the blame game is not helping anyone. The real fault is the fact that the 500,000 Covid-19 death occurred during the President Biden presidency.

Yep. Because we only have a small literate class of historians and scribes, and they're all beholden to King Don, don'tchaknow.

fark, future gens are going to have a blast sifting through >2000's history if we have enough gens down the line and don't forget the password to the Internet or something. It won't be like Rome or Britain, where we mostly know about the ruling class, it'll be John Smith's shiatposts and Bobby B. Bobberson's complaints about how his government is largely beholden to corporate interests at the expense of the common citizenry, from the perspective of a common citizen. It'll be a chronicle of how communication barriers broke down between citizens and heads of state, and the latter just plugged their ears and screamed loudly.

He quit talking about the virus for his last four months in office.  A quarter million people died in that time.
Nero golfed while Americans died.

History is not kind to mass murderers.
History will not be kind to these psychopaths, no matter how much they claim it will. The present and the past, too.

I give it even odds.

At some point in the much too near future the insurrectionists have a high chance of success. Then it will be them writing and approving the history that gets written. At which point Trump will be memorialized as a god like figure.

What is there to rewrite?  King Don the Glorious personally saved each and every one of you from the Gynavirus, masks, and the tyranny of taxes.  Accept Him as your lord and savior, or be burned as a heretic.

Jumbled: History is not kind to mass murderers.
History will not be kind to these psychopaths, no matter how much they claim it will. The present and the past, too.

As Orwell noted, history has no objective existence in physical space; it remains only in the minds of people.

And have you met people? Or - even worse - the average American?

Remember: about 40% of Americans think Trump did a bang-up job, while a good chunk of the remainder have the memories of re[dacted] goldfish. Coupled with the sophisticated targeting algorithms employed by social media, history will have been rewritten within a year.

Tell me I'm wrong.

There is actually a lot of things more ridiculous than that:

1. Trickle down economics
2. Private health care
3. Mitch not approving Garland

...

I am stopping to prevent more rage brewing inside me...

Don't challenge the deplorables that way.

Something like that is how we ended up with a literal golden idol of the Traitor at CPAC.

Because downplaying it was such a good move

Trump is as popular now as he will ever be. History will not be kind to the man.
And I don't mean stuffy professors 100 years from now. As his cult ages out or gets distracted by a bird outside, he'll lose his only defenders. It's all downhill from here.

Sadly, if there are any future generations, this is how they will be taught.

Well, then. That was.......a bunch o' words. I'd like to believe that'll be dumbest thing I read today, buuuut, it's only 0535 EST,and there's a whole lot of day to pass by.
Fark it. Going back to bed.

Unfortunately, as long as the state of Texas continues to dictate what goes into history Textbooks, he's probably right.

Right, just like the Nazis were able to rewrite history once their insurrection succeeded

The Nazis failed because they left their own borders.  If Hitler was just evil inside his own country no one outside of Germany would have cared.  Then he could have sold whatever narrative he wanted to inside his own borders.  See: China, North Korea, etc.

Uh - have they seen the Amazon documentary on Trump's coronavirus clusterf***? No, history is going to be very unkind to Trump. As it should be.

yes!  in a few school districts in Idaho, Texas and South Carolina, history will be kind to potatus and his covid counter-assault.

i hope they use direct quotes:
"Supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way."

Right. We're totally taught the CCP history of China.

So Trump had to discourage wearing a mask in order to "prioritize" vaccine development?  That's a stupid argument, even for a Republican.

Greg neglects to point out that masks and vaccines were never of concern to trump, because he was trying to achieve herd immunity.

The 500,000 deaths were just the down payment.

He, his administration and his enablers are absolutely guilty of pandemicide.

History will recognize them for exactly what they are.  Mass murderers.

"We"? No. But what do you suppose is taught in China?

2021-02-26 7:44:22 AM
Yes, tRump was completely focused on a cure and vaccine for the Democratic Hoax China Virus that is no worse than the flu while talking about herd immunity, ingesting bleach, and sticking UV lights up your arse to an animate silk scarf.

The only thing that Trump concerned himself with was the stock market. He felt that as long as markets were buoyant, he would be re-elected. He obsessed about stimulus for the market from the Fed.

Trump felt that if the coronovirus threat could be discredited, and the markets maintained, he would get re-elected - which was, boiled down even further, his only real concern. At no point in time did he ever exhibit any actual concern for the health and welfare of the nation, or the actual people who participate in the economy.

He's a psychopath.

The mainstream mass media need to ensure these bonehead GOP Trumper types are ridiculed at every turn.

Not everyone watches FOX news OANN or listens to talk radio

He may be right . . .
It will if a future right-wing dictator orders all the history books rewritten, as China is doing in Hong Kong.

Time will not be kind to Dump, not for any reason. He will go down as the worst president in American history. Worse than Buchanan, Pierce, Hoover, Nixon, Harding, and Bush the Lesser combined. George W. Bush will be rehabilitated in the eyes of historians before Trump ever will. That's how bad he is. He makes George W. Bush look decent...and Bush was farking atrocious.

Greg Gutfeld can gargle Trump's balls all he wants. It's not going to change anything.

This shiat is already underway. A former co-worker who frequently 'asks questions' on Facebook, is now wondering why Trump got so much criticism for his COVID response, but Biden is not, despite the number of deaths in his first month in office.

To back up his question asking, he decided to do some special math, averaging the number of deaths per month in the Trump presidency and comparing it to Biden's first month.

It took everything ounce of willpower not to jump into the fray. How do you combat this level of ignorance? I tried to think of a simple analogy - something like 'well when a plane has been flying for a period of time and its' engines suddenly go out, it will not immediately plummet to the ground - but I decided it was not worth the frustration of arguing with someone who is this deluded.

Didn't they same the same thing about Dubya? It's pretty much an admission that your policies are complete shizballs when all you have is, "we'll look back on this and laugh long after we're all dead."

This wouldn't be the first time that losers try to rewrite history...

Ant

Yeah, rewritten so that "lack of response" is more accurately described as "a response that actually made everything worse"

2021-02-26 11:23:14 AM
Greg Gutfeld isn't even smart enough to be an effective right-wing propagandist. Think about that.

He should have stuck to trying to politicize lad mags.

History will be kind...

It will think he was kind of a racist, kind of a fascist, kind of a incompetent moron, kind of a loonatic, kind of a massive lier and kind of a genocidal maniac.
