And I thought it was weird that Disney was putting out 40K comics.

I was hoping this was an announcement of actually putting their properties to decent use. A well designed GI JOE or Transformers game with regularly released .99 skins/characters would just print money. Hell, people get the multiverse concept now so go nuts with it and throw in all kinds of 80s-90s cartoon nostalgia.

Well, Walt did have a thing for genocidal maniacs.

They have their action RPG coming out too. It's not terrible. It's better than Wolcen.

How about meh.

Games Workshop approves lots of trash, despite how much they protect their IP.

I want to thank subby for their appropriate use of actual owning company name instead of pretending there is such an independent company as Wizard's of the Coats.

i have no doubt that a free market only actually works when the people of it are free of bullshiat obfuscation to make easily informed decisions about who gets their money.

There is no such thing as Pixar there is only Disney.
There is no such thing as Kraft there is only Phillis Morris.

Wizard's of the Coats. Wizards of the Coast.

Phillis Phillip Morris.

What we really need, Hasbro, is a deckbuilding game similar to Magic: the Gathering but based on ICP fans.  Maybe something like The Gathering: Juggalo Combat.

/Maybe we'll get a Summon Bevets card in a official game.

I remember GW trying their hand at a 40k CCG years ago.  It was forgettable.

Still waiting for the My Little Pony expansion.  Come one, WOTC, aren't you going to give your corproate Sugar Momma Twilight Sparkle some love?

Godzilla only had 3 hit points?! That is some ridiculous BS.

As I said on another website, there had better be a "Purify" instant (with the artwork you would expect) to play when someone is doing one of those never ending combos in MTG: Arena.

I have a couple of the foil "Corona" ones. Did they ever end up worth anything or even useful? I gave up playing Magic IRL years ago and just happen to buy a few packs at Wally World when they were in the news and luckily (?) hit them.

The Godzilla cards are just reskinned versions of cards from the Ikoria set.  Ikoria is set on a plane of monstrous creatures so it sort of works .

It is beyond me how they will get warhammer 40k to work in MTG though it could lead to some hilarious orc artwork.

The LOTR one puzzles me as Tolkien's heirs have been rather protective of the rights to his work so i have no clue how WOTC might have gotten this pulled off.

It also may prove false

they may simply be using generic elves and similar crap to make it sound like Lord of the rings without actually using Lord of the rings in any way other than generic fantasy. Maybe adding a couple ents or something (they've had "ironwood tree folk" before)

Technically a 7 thanks to its ability. It has to take 7 damage to die, but dies to -3 toughness reduction.

They did a three card charity set although I wish they would finish up printing the rest of the mane 6.

RTFC: Because of his ability, he technically has 7 hit points.

/Which in Magic is kinda huge, seeing as you only have 20.
