Not difficult if *they* sign Winston with the money saved by Drew Brees backing down to $1 million and change...

Hill is a gadget guy. They gave him a chance at the role this year when Brees was hurt but I don't think he showed enough to be a full time starter. With Winston they know he can throw a bunch of TD's and I think that Payton can coach him to be more careful and not throw the picks.  Mostly sitting for last year probably helped him understand the game better behind Brees.

Which is stupid, ESPECIALLY if Wilson is possibly on the table.

But I'm sure that's a pipe dream.

They can't afford Wilson. A cheapo deal for Winston is the best option. Hill is good in his role but not as QB. Winston can mirror his 30/30 ability in NO and they'll be fine. Maybe not as fine with Brees, but playoff bound regardless.

Will Winston ever get better?   What is his real ceiling as a QB?   From all accounts, he is talented as hell and dumb as a stump.  Do you want your future in his hands?

Tampa Bay was not entirely his fault, it was the offense that he was given to play in. That offense was basically throw down field, no outlet and no running. This year, through the first 9 games, Brady and the Bucs looked just like they did last year. Then they changed the offense and started running, throwing short and throwing to the running backs and they started winning. And guess what, all of that stuff is what Winston did at Florida State.

The guy will do fine with a team that doesn't try to run a Big 12 offense in the NFL

They should try to reunite Godwin with Winston if he does stay. Thomas/Godwin tandem could be huge.
