Pnball has had shaker motors similar (but smaller) to the one in the video for decades. Shakes the whole cabinet. Not a fan personally, but the collectors love them.

Fark all that - any rumble is too much rumble.  Pain conditions + vibration = screaming like a 2 year old that just dropped their ice cream.  It's a bit distracting for any other players.  Or anyone else in the house.  Or any neighbors in say a 3 block radius or so.  First thing I turn off.

Love it. I'm just getting into sims, waiting to find a deal on a yolk, throttle/flaps, and pedal setup.

Always hated "rumble." It's not immersive, it just feels stupid.
Also I'm pretty sure it causes that "drift" problem everyone complains about with the switch.

Unfortunately, it's a bad time for simmers. All of those peripherals cost me around $500 total. To replace them now would be more than twice that. :(

/Lots of folks blame the pandemic, and that's probably part of it, but I suspect MSFS 2020 popularity has something to do with it too

I also have this problem. So much so that I spent almost that much on just my rudder pedals a few years ago.

I also had triple-head and separate USB displays for the MFDs. It was more a PITA than it was useful, so now I just use one big 4K display.

I own an Xbox, which right now could be a brick, except I'm cooking and egg on the heat vent.

Say you owned an Xbox One, then an Xbox One X, and now a Series X. If Xbox Live and account services are down, which two are bricks and which dusty ass one sitting in a closet maybe has that setting?

Oh well, it's dark and Winter and my wife has a work thing, so watch Wheel of Fortune I guess?

I'm dedicated VR. Just got the MFDs last month and they're making a huge difference - much easier than reaching blind for the mouse.  I put some rubber bumps on each middle button to help me with hand placement - works great

Non Sequitur Man: [YouTube video: Worlds Biggest Alarm Clock]

I was always late my senior year of high school, so I upgraded my alarm clock. I routed it through the stereo and one of those 4 foot speaker towers with 4 speakers inside it. I still slept through that farker even though it woke my mother on the other side of a 2200 sq ft house.

It's weird - I can play Elite in VR with no problems, but flight sims give me vertigo. I'm still slumming it with an original Vive though, and the ol' 1080ti can't quite hit the framerates needed given the level of detail I need to enjoy myself. What headset are you using?

The Index. Upgraded from the Vive. I have a 1080ti too and it's running Elite and DCS pretty well. Mostly high graphics settings. The frame rates aren't much different, but the resolution increase was remarkable. No screen door, and the sweet spot is much larger - I can glance at instruments instead of having to move my head to look.

Hmm. I might go for it, then.
