Mycroft_Holmes_IV: If Tanden fails to get enough support, Biden should just put her in as an indefinite "Acting Secretary" like half of Trump's cabinet.

Most of his "acting" secretaries had already been Senate approved in a lesser position which received less scrutiny.

Abbey learned long ago that getting treats worked better if you applied the lessons from political science class and negotiated with the humans.

"I get three treats before you go to bed and you don't wake up at 3 AM with me screaming 'MOUSE". Deal?"

I had a rust bucket '74 Mustang II in high school that eventually included one part from a Pinto. The plastic piece that connected the window roller arm to the track it rode on inside the door. No idea what year the Pinto was and I had to fabricate it a bit to make it work for the 'Stang, but yes.....my Mustang II became part Pinto.

I also managed to get locked inside the dump/junk yard after finding said Pinto part late in the afternoon. Had to come back real early the next morning and hope to find the 'Stang still there and not junked or stripped.

24 hour window symptoms are just reactions to getting a shot in general in that medium and size. It'll take a week before the immune reaction gets going and then there are another set of potential symptoms to deal with.

I think Rach is having a hard time to grasp the situation Biden and the Dems were handed.  A lot of people NEED to go to jail.  Not to mention the operation of the government was hamstrung to the point where it was nearly overthrown.  Bit of a clean up still needs to be done.

Basically this is the nightmare situation where Democracy can and will end if you don't do things right, and it is going to take some time.  So chill.  Have a margarita, Rach.

My poor mom was 5'0" and was a 36EE before she finally had them thangs reduced. She needed steel-belted radial bras engineered by freakin' Goodyear, and that's just for daily wear. We had to call in bigger guns when she wanted to play racquetball. She has permanent strap marks in her shoulders. Back problems, the whole nine. I'm grateful daily that I'm the "flat-chested" one in the family, and even mine still get in my damn way and I wish I could just unscrew them and leave them on the nightstand while I sleep.

Bras are srs bzns.

Fun fact! Jeanette Goldstein, the actress who played Vasquez in Aliens, owns a bra shop in CA that caters to women who are well-endowed. Their motto is 'The alphabet starts with D'.

My Wednesday night:

Mom stopped by, bringing me a gift of a Y-shaped vegetable peeler with a large handle, and bringing the girls the gift of a new scratching pad. I gifted her two of the smaller pasties that I made.

Found the spot where Birb sicked up foods. I didn't spot a hairball in that mess. I did, however, hit it with Resolve foam and did a little scrubbing. I'll vacuum it in a bit, once it's had a chance to dry. I need to get a Barfbuster 2000.

Ordered Chinese. Got a phone call saying that they only have one driver tonight, so it'll take about an hour to get here. Should be here any second.

A friend was gonna stop by after work with an art project for me, but she texted a little while ago to tell me that she's stuck on a double shift because her overnight person is sick.

Chatted with a friend who works at Duluth Trading Company. I just put in a big ol' order during their Clearance sale, and I wanna make sure she's there when I go pick it up because I'm bringing her cat butt colouring books. She's given me her schedule for the rest of the week, and I've made arrangements to head down there on Friday. (I sense that she's going to find some sneaky way to give me a discount, though I have not requested such a thing. DTC clothing is expensive, though, so I won't complain.)

Mixed a beverage. Toasted to DannyBrandt, who is hopefully having an uneventful journey back to the place in which he works, and toasted to Tiki, who is hopefully having a meetup on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge with Pharaoh and all the rest of the recently-crossed pets.

It's even better: she has a nonprofit to help girls in foster care called Hourglass Underground, and all proceeds from the sale of strapless bras go to that nonprofit. The website for her shop is located right here.
