Ignoring the US., .02 is the limit in most of the planet.

05% BAC legal limit is the most common and found in most Western European countries among others. Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Taiwan, Turkey, and others all have this legal limit.

.02? What did some drunk burp on him?

Anyway, we should all chip in so he can pay off the $540. Maybe they'll let him do installments.

If this was Donald Trump jr I'd say it was bullshiat and they should let him off. And I loathe donald trump jr.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Anthony R. Mautone . . .asked Springsteen how much time he needed to pay the fines.

"I think I can pay that immediately,'' Springsteen said, smiling.

Yep.   First time DUI is basically a non issue.  He should get fined and offered deferred adjudication.  Basically he keeps out of trouble and no guilty finding.

Duly noted.  Could have sworn 0.02 was far more common.  Maybe it was last I checked and they increase (reasonably)?  Dunno.

Either way, thanks for the update.

Agreed.  Wouldn't want this to affect his future.  Guy gets convicted, next thing you know I'm supporting him on welfare.

*bullshiate charge of DUI for a .02 BAC.*

The DWI was obviously a joke, he blew a .02, which is nothing.  The only thing they could say is that he drank in a national park, which is a federal court.  He said 'yeah, I had a drink in a national park' and pled guilty to that... which apparently was only JUST RECENTLY made a thing from the articles I read.

Why was that made a thing?  Who made that a thing?  Out of all the things in the world, we criminalize THAT?  Silly.

Living in Jersey, you'd need to be intoxicated all the time.

Amirite?!!!

You can have other stuff in your system that doesn't show up on those tests.  It looks like the federal threshold is .08 if my googling can be trusted so it sounds like they thought the Boss might have had some of the devils lettuce while he was out there.

Let me also add in most areas .02 is a presumption of being sober.  I think in Virginia you have to be .04 before they can even charge (unless drugs are involved or you have a CDL)

A rich, privileged, white male was arrested. Why isn't fark rejoicing?

Why isn't fark lamenting the fact that he wasn't beaten and shot?

Fark reserves the right to hold a double standard and make exceptions at their discretion. You should know that by now.

Just because someone points out how badly minorities are treated that doesn't mean they're rooting for whites to be mistreated too, Strawman.

The RW numnuts seem to have come out in force on Fark this week.

Just pointing out hypocrisy.

If you could point out one instance where anyone on Fark cheered at a white man being beaten and shot (who didn't deserve it) I'll take back what I said about your dumb ass post.

Nope. Not cheering a white man being beaten. Just wishing he would have been.

Springsteen should have had his ass kicked for "I'm going down" in 1984.

It varies from park to park. Sandy Hook apparently changed over because it became a problem on the beach.

But really, "drinking with fans" = "non socially distanced gathering." I wonder if anyone else got arrested.

No.
Human Touch, Lucky Town, and at least half of Working on a Dream, sure.
But there isn't anything wrong with the song you called out. Not even the worst song on that album.

Well it was an ear worm back then for me. Stuck in my head. I admit I wanted to kick him in the balls.

Springsteen tickets are still too expensive. I'll just go see the Hold Steady at small claims court instead.
