Maybe if you took down that Craig's List ad, you wouldn't see this so often.

I've got a coworker or two that still don't, at least according to complaints that I've received about it as head of our safety committee.

I haven't been in the office though for more than a handful of days in nearly a year though.

Haven't been sick though for that whole time.

Kind of worried that I am going to get a non-Covid respiratory bug nearly as soon as the kids go back to school and I am forced to return to the office.

I be seen people make the logic "I know where my body's been I don't need to wash after I pee as a matter of fact I should wash my hands before I go to protect myself...I am very smart"

Regularly? No, I did not regularly wash my hands. After going to the bathroom, before meals, or when I got them dirty doing something, that's it. I didn't routinely wash my hands whenever I walked into my house or office the way I do now. And I rarely did it for as long as 20 seconds.

To be fair, i've seen some bathrooms that are a lot worse than the state i hope most people keep their junk in.

My argument is this should be a wakeup call to people who expect you to take your shoes off in their house.

I guess this is the thread you tell us how super clean your genitals are and then subject everyone around you to the bacteria, yeast and other fauna that lives in a crotch by wiping your dirty hands on things and in the old days, shaking hands etc.

At risk of being really pedantic, you definitely "regularly" washed your hands if you did it every time after going to the bathroom and before meals. You've just increased the requirements for hand washing that is considered "regular".

I'm going to be pissed if hand shakes, a pat on the back, a hug with someone you know, are done for good.

But let me ask you this. Do you expect people who come into your house to take their shoes off?

Because i have a soapbox on that issue, and am trying to hitch my wagon to covid to change it.

No matter how clean you may think you are, a crotch is a pretty filthy place.

In the before times, would you stick your fingers in your armpit and then shake someone's hand?   Because that's about the same idea.

What should remain in place is the hand sanitizer stations at entrances.  Not being within six feet of people is a good thing to keep around, too.

Lots of people. I reached new levels of disgust with the public in general in 2021. People expressing dismay at having to stand 6 ft apart, or wear a mask or not go out and cough all over everybody in a public place when you're obviously sick.

Being all up in someone's grill and/or not covering your farking mouth when you cough around other people was never OK. It wasn't OK before the 'rona came along and it's not OK now.

But lots of people are insufferable assholes and pretend to be outraged by the suggestion that they're diseased and spreading that disease to others.

Before you get your dick sucked, do you run to the bathroom and wash it?

Right.
When during the SARS all the public washrooms were suddenly getting furnished with illustrated instructions on how to wash the hands I was equally amused and terrified. Both by the fact that adults need to be told to do that.

No, i always wash my hands after using the bathroom because i'm not a savage, but i'd be lying if on the rare occasion i looked at the state of a bathroom, tried to figure out how i'd wash my hands right, if i trusted their soap, how i'd dry them, and just went, "fark it, less i touch in here the better"

BUT i really hate people that expect you to take shoes off when you go into their house, and would argue that is the exact same thing as not washing your hands in the bathroom (with the obvious caveats of you just walked through mud\slush\etc).

If you wouldn't take your socks and shoes off and lick in between your own toes, then you shouldn't be fine with not washing your hands after touching your dick and then eating something.

This is basic kindergarten stuff, I thought...

I learned to pee without pissing on my hands back when I was a kid :-)

That said, perhaps the federal, state, and local governments will stop locking up sinks.  Oh yes, this park is open, but due to Covid, the bathrooms are closed.

And a lot of filthy animals still won't

The kicker is, a vast majority of people would probably agree with the statement "My personal hygiene is better than average"

(hint: it's mathematically impossible for more than half of people to be above average at anything)

The health rules are for strangers. I still hug my family, etc.  But I'm glad you brought the shoe thing up. I'm a person that prefers shoes to be taken off, but enforcing it only if it's rainy, got muddy, dog shiat, etc. I mop my floors weekly if not more (got kids) so a dry shoe that was on a clear sidewalk (no poop, etc.) is okay with me.

Yeah BUT......how is your foot in a sock that has been in a shoe that has never been sanitized probably in its life being dragged all over your floor or propped up on a chair or whatever "Cleaner" that a shoe that just might have a tiny bit of dirt on it.

Actually, I've stopped washing my hands after using the restroom.

Why?

Because you spend the 20 seconds diligently washing your hands thoroughly like a surgeon*, and then what do you do?  You immediately touch the handle of the door to leave the restroom.

You don't know who has touched it recently, or what they might have.  It's not just CCP Lung Rot.  Could be anything else.  Cholebolanthrax.  Dysentery, Datentery, and DeOtherThingentery

So instead, before I use the restroom I use hand vodka, then I use it again immediately after I leave the restroom.  As long as I don't get piss or shiat on my fingers, I don't bother washing them.

*Cutting for the very first time!.   Sorry, couldn't resist.

Children are tiny adorable plague carriers.  Starting around first grade, I noticed that everyone in the family was getting sick a lot more often.  Instituted the "I love you, but first go wash the plague off your hands when you get home rule."  I very rarely have been sick in the last 25 years.
