Wow.  Eastbound is downhill in terms of winds and currents, and is still one heck of a journey.

Does anyone ever row across heading west?

It is probably not all that good in Antigua.

Now go back. The rowing was only to make her feel like she was in control.

Howard Blackburn did.
Actually, read his story. Froze his fingers off rowing back to land as his boat mate died from exposure, when abandoned by the support ship in a sudden winter storm.  Rescued and convalesed in backwoods town over the winter before returning to his hometown the next year. Ran a bar, then determined to sail a dory to the UK, twice.

 Yeah, but everyone's a millionaire.

Was it that boat behind her? Because that seems like it would be a chrome plated biatch row that by yourself.

Heh.

"Sail single-handed"

Kind of redundant at that point.

With Coronavirus ravaging social interaction, now is a great opportunity to try a challenge where you'll be isolated for multiple weeks. Why be locked down in quarantine when you can follow your dreams and/or goals while tackling nature!

Awww mm that sorta feels good but weird, those head pats.

Now to disinfect every strand of my hair you deliberately and psychopathically sought to infect with a deadly plague because you think it's funny.

I'll bet you're a better person for not having had to move from the home state; indeed, I'm a "Damned Yankee" and you're not.

You're almost as good as an elementary school teacher, saying a student sounds "dumb" for having a Southern drawl and putting them through speech therapy, so they sound educated. And not like a dumb-ass Texan.

Again: You sound as wise as my Elementary school teachers in Ohio, saying I'm "stupid" for having a drawl.

Well, we find ourselves in an anonymous text-and-image-only brawl to which I brought no particular animus beyond my wholly new and novel and unrelated assertion that Texas and its duly-chosen government can lick sand.

I'm pretty sure I agree with you.

Pretty sure, too... I'm drunk, high and socializing a Maine Coon cat that was neglected. Much growling directed my way for breaking up many-a nasty knot in his fur. Then the purring, but OH LORD the patience needed to reach that point.

I sure miss my old Maine Coon.

When he showed up stealing my other critter's food I was able to lure him from the crawlspace and make friends.

He was sick a few times and once an X-ray showed he'd been shot in the ass-cheek with a pellet gun, the hourglass-shaped leaden round still there.  I always pictured him scrawling over a fencetop with more than his victims suspected he'd taken.

Tough as nails but loved his belly rubs, and lived a long and happy life.

I left the State when I was 5; all I have to go on is my dad's recipes. But he DID have a Mexican Abuela for a nana.
