Oh, I'm sure that will work out great just like it has every other time a Republican President has broken the law over the past 50 years.

Revoke his Secret Service protection.

Until that happens NOTHING will happen.

Have an executive signing to reverse the executive signing Trump signed to reverse the executive signing Obama signed?

Why?

The last thing Trump would want to be is forgotten.  Even if he has to ride around Key West on an adult tricycle with a big Trump flag, body battery be damned, he'll do it just so everyone knows Trump is still here.

I am indeed pissed off that the Democrats backed off from their opportunity to call witnesses.  But I understand why they did it.  Because they could have dragged this on for weeks, and in the end, it would have been the same result.  And in the intervening time, no cabinet members interviewed, no stimulus package, no nothing in Biden's actual agenda to get things on track.  Not to mention that it would have kept this bullshiat in the news for all the time.

And again - the outcome would have been the same.

So I have calmed down from my initial anger about it.  I'm still pissed off that 43 Senators have their lips firmly stuck to Drumpf's buttcheeks.  But there is nothing we can do about that.

Also, there is an outside chance that all of 45**'s other legal issues can be addressed now.
And I cannot stress enough that I hope that happens sooner than later - like tomorrow morning.  Because the longer he is able to just roll on as if everything is just fine, the more damage he will continue to do to this country.

Let's cut all the red tape and intellectual property regulations that are turning the pandemic into a genocide.

i feel like this has already been the approach.

congress is dealing with orange anusmouth. pres is working to unfark things without mention of him.

gotta say, it's been farking glorious not hearing that awful asshole's smug, lying bullshiat on a daily basis.

Time to move on.

Sweet, let's pretend nothing happened, let the fascists keep organizing unhindered through the next few elections, and just wait for Kristallnacht.

It does feel weird not knowing Biden's every movement like with 45**.

The news feels noticeably slow now.

It's like one big news dump per day in a big solid block instead of a constant spray.

Like some sort of metaphor.

But here's the thing:  they backed down because of threats that the GOP would obstruct everything the new administration pushed.  THEYRE STILL GOING TO DO THAT.

Once again the football got pulled away. Once again the GOP wins and now they know how to keep winning through to 2022 and 2024: be a bully and like always the Democrats will cave.

Any actions against Tre45on will go the same way: they'll bully and obstruct because they know the democrats won't  fight or support whoever is going after him.

Don't worry. Ignoring harmless old Adolph after 20 December 1924 totally made him and his movement go away.

Or not....

And morons will indulge him

There's some benefit to remembering some things.

45** is a good template for recognizing dangerous personalities.

I have the misfortune of knowing a Trump by another name and gender. She's just as malignant as he. As a child if others recognized the danger of her personality and the danger I was in with her having power over me. My life would be different, likely less physically injured too.

I wish the news media would only cover his court cases, leaving out any of his statements. Actually, all I care about is the guilty verdicts.

Uhhh... good?

It's not the President's place to "go after" a predecessor, Biden should ignore Trump entirely and focus on policy.  If the AG or state officials have legal issues with Trump, that's there job, but there's no policy consideration for the United States that has to deal with Trump.

If Biden is having conversations about investigating or prosecuting Trump they should not be done in public, it would only taint the process by making it appear to be a political hitjob

USS Richmond Punch is a good one to start out with, especially if you sub Champagne for the club soda, cause who needs extra water when you can use alcohol?
Chatham Artillery Punch is yet another self-decribed vanquisher of men.
Quoit Club Punch. This was considered a suitable drink for a Saturday afternoon playing lawn games and eating food.

Better stock up on the lemons, sugar, and alcohol because you'll be using full bottles.

Counterpoint:  Congress has nothing to do with this anymore.  This impeachment was their last play.

The DOJ, the FBI, the States of NY and GA...  They can all do whatever they want, and Congress cannot help him.

For any obstruction to Biden's agenda...  They no longer have the majority in the House or the Senate.  And if they push back too hard, there are always EOs.

We should ignore all the crimes and worry about appearances. This is not a repeat from 2008, but luckily when the next GOP fascist gets done with the country none of us will live long enough to see this dumb shiat repeated again.

David Wondrich wrote an excellent book about punch and there are a lot of recipes in there ranging from mild to potent. The fancy punches from the US colonial era are deadly yet highly drinkable.

Except:

1. They are acting as if they're the minority
2. All of the state level actions will be countered by the GOP with the same bullying.  They'll threaten and the Democrats will cave and put pressure to either drop or greatly lessen those actions under the fear and misconception that in doing so the GOP will cooperate.  And as we've seen countless times before, they won't.  Then there are all the stalling tactics to put as much as possible at SCOTUS to get the 5-4 ruling they want.

Sorry - I've just lost all hope that a terminally feckless party that allows itself to be victimized for decades to suddenly look behind the couch and find their missing balls.

I don't know how you took me saying "Biden shouldn't be publicly involved in the decision whether or not to prosecute Trump or how to prosecute him" to mean "We should all the crimes and worry about appearances"

Is English your second language? I mean you're really good but you're missing some subtle details
