Haha, Wet Broom take the lead in the 2nd minute.
Really should be a foul.
Attacker was all over Lindelof's back.
But it stands.
1-0

I submitted a thread earlier, but they haven't greened it yet. And the Wolves beat the Saints, one of the goals the Wolves scored was on a PK following a hand ball in the penalty (about the stupidest way to concede a PK, aside from a studs-up flying tackle from behind away from the ball in the penalty area).

I notified mods to green this one, but hasn't happened yet.

Same with me, and they haven't gotten to mine, either.

Good save by De Gea on Snodgrass's header.

And now we get one greenlit, cool :). Oh, and OGS? Is your seat starting to feel a tad warm? Or are your ears merely feeling a tad warm?

Wolves beat Saints?  Was it at least a good match?

I missed most of it myself, but the first Wolves goal was a PK following a hand ball in the penalty area... a stupid penalty. And it was the equalizer.

Saw a reply of Ings goal.
He causally volleyed it home.
Contender for goal of the day.

Found a video of it.

And just as I hit add comment; Bruno with his own top class volley.
Didn't smash, but got it on frame.
1-1

Saints are deeply unhappy with the penalty decision. Wolves weren't in the game until that point, and after that Saints fell apart.

It was a weak one, but no excuse to suddenly forget how to play.

And I see Untidy closed out the first half with a hat trick of conceded corner kicks. You'd almost think that Untidy didn't want to cough up another goal in stoppage time or something.

It may have been a weak penalty, but given the way the EPL officials having been calling hand balls of late the call was inevitable.

McTominay might want to watch it, he is just itching to get a card about now.

2021-02-14 10:20:35 AM
Ummm... the ref might want to book someone about now, if only to let both sides know to knock it off with the fouls.

2021-02-14 10:22:02 AM
Maguire was offside anyway

2021-02-14 10:22:44 AM
PK to United.
Looks weak to me.
Feet were tangled.
Pawson goes to the monitor to review it.
No PK given.

2021-02-14 10:29:27 AM
We just had back-to-back touches by opposing keepers.

2021-02-14 10:30:08 AM
Kick save off the line by Johnstone and then a clearance off the line by the West Brom defender.

2021-02-14 10:31:27 AM
Wet Broom can't get the final pass on the counter right.
Really should be 2-1 now.

How has De Gea managed to keep that one out?

He is trying to preserve the draw that will move them up to 2nd on the table.

2021-02-14 10:46:07 AM
De Gea would have stopped that anyway.

2021-02-14 10:47:31 AM
Diagney
Would have been a winning goal most likely to.

This ref has been quite free with his booking this half, hasn't he?

2021-02-14 10:52:14 AM
Rashford has been trying to be too cute all game. Almost waiting until it's 3 v 1 then gives it up.

Terrible.

Same old same old from Utd. Lots of possession and passing around the box, not much threat inside it. Martial is a part-timer, I'm unconvinced about Cavani, and I have no idea why Fred ever gets a start.

Our defense is terrible. Lindelof is a liability, Bailly is mediocre, and McGuire looks like the second coming of Jonny Evans Mistake. And then there's Axel and Alex, the Disappointing Defender Twins - some more terrific transfer business by the back office. (Other than Fernandes, who was the last good transfer into Utd?).

Oh, and apparently David James is still on the payroll, presumably locked in a closet somewhere based on his contributions.

I think Brazil will start banning the use of the name Fred for football players. They just don't pan out.

Kick-Off!

2021-02-14 11:32:17 AM
The power of my fantasy team: last week, I dropped Ward-Prowse into the bench and put in Maddison. W-P got 9 points and Maddison 2.

Swapped them this week. Maddison got 8 and W-P 2.

I had no clue Soares had joined Arsenal.

Old Boomerang with the opener!

I think that's an automatic red card for the goalscorer. Pretty sure it's against PL rules for Arsenal to score first, particularly from open play.

I like to think that Arteta banned all hairstyles that could not be done using LEGO, which is why Bellerin lost his.

Hey look, Leeds can't play defense.
Or Man Bun defending detected.
Auba gets back on the score sheet.
1-0

Last summer, I think. But there was some reason he couldn't play. Not sure if he was injured, or was just intended as backup for Bellerin on the right.

MUCH better ball movement up front with Odor Guard starting.

2021-02-14 11:48:29 AM
It took over a month, but Real finally found some consistency in defense. 2-0 against the Lim Penitentiary.
