Or just make french beignets with almond extract and vanilla finishing sugar?

i may be really high right now, but that recipe didn't seem very "king cake-y" to me. more like beignets with cinnamon in them.

I do miss the coffee at Cafe Du Monde

Best part of working in Nolins.

I imagine nothing compares to going there in person for the fresh stuff, but... we don't buy the best coffee, but one time she bought me a can of their coffee as a surprise, and then she found out she loves the stuff lol - so now I buy either of the below (whichever is cheaper at the time) and cut it into our cheap ALDI coffee.

I got this Odinforce coffee from my brother that's pretty damn good.

But yeah Cafe du Monde is excellent. Favorite part when I had to travel to Nolins for work outside of some great gumbo and sea food.

(Never got the point of frog legs though. Like a briny fishy chicken wing? I dunno they aren't bad, but....)

Cantonese restaurants that do the crispetty ones in salt-n-peppa style are pretty good. the Franchy-franch standard garlic ones are not bad, too. not sure I ever had them from a Southern or Cajun type place, but I did used to really enjoy fried stuff like snake bites and crocagator bites.

/hee hee hee, that coffee producer is, quite literally, called: Death Wish Coffee Co.?
//neat!
///may have to give it a try sometime...
