I ate at one in Vegas and really liked it. One opened up in st louis a number of years ago and didn't last very long.

We used to have pollo loco when I was little in Monterrey Mexico.  Also had Topo Chico.

It's so weird to see brands that I grew up with in Mexico and didn't see for years suddenly become common years later in the US.

I'm not surprised, El Pollo Loco Is frickin' delicious, as is Topo Chico mineral water.  They deserve their popularity.

The USA Pollo Loco Is actually a separate company.  The owner expanded to the US and then sold his US company.  I don't know if they've changed the recipe or menu since.  Never had EPL in the US.  Can't wait to try it though.

It's pretty good. We have it here in the Bay Area and it's super popular.
