(Slate)   "My kids attend school in a large district with a powerful teachers union. They've been remote learning all year, and I've heard it could stay that way as teachers don't want to go into the classroom even with a vaccine. How can we force them back?"   (slate.com) divider line

Well....have you considered becoming a teacher yourself?

No...?

then....fark you, let the teachers union handle it.

If republicans think it's ok for teachers, and students, to be put at risk being in school with the constant threat of gun violence, then a measly pandemic is certainly of no concern either.

Vaccine doesn't mean you can't catch it and spread it, it just means your body knows to attack.

But you can still shed virus even if vaccinated, and I can see teachers not wanting to spread it around the school and/or not bring it home

Best learn to home school. Or have the editors stop writing letters to themselves to spout MOAR concern, because they have no idea how to deal with a competent White House at this point, and bereft of a constant source of outrage and Constitutional crisis, they have no idea what to do with their time anymore?

Jeebus Frist. Enough. Look back at your notebooks from college, and learn to be f*cking journalists again, instead of dressed up tabloid writers.

It's because the students won't be vaccinated, and will spread the disease everywhere.  How is this not obvious?

Step one: go old-school and hire a tutor.
Step two: kill yourself to save others

Unless somebody wants to fix that pesky "need two incomes just to survive" thing, then kids need to get back to school.

Sick of everyone telling everybody to stay home but offering no reasonable way to pay for that home while doing so. Apparently we're just supposed to isolate in the woods and figure out how to filter feed.

Plenty of us remember that by the time we reached school age, we didn't have to be supervised for every second of our lives.  That's easier to fix than "need two incomes just to survive"

Most people can survive on one income.  Stop buying the latest and greatest of everything and have some self control on your spending.

Because you were supervised in school, dumbass. Parents need those six to eight hours to work and shiatpost on FARK.

Meh, one of the things you signed up for as a teacher was the risk of being around snotty kids. Docs and nurses are overwhelmingly treating mostly non-Covid patients but carry the risk of being exposed to covid too. Thank god doctors can't unionize.
