The Irrelevant Gamer: Only two? I need a March Madness style bracket to make this decision with divisions for each genre.

Believe me, I struggled with increasing the number, but decided on two to make it easer for the interpreters, not the bibliophiles.

Here's 16 year old me:

- Robert Anton Wilson
- Piers Anthony

/excluding xanth, to be specific
//even 16-year old me recognized that was garbage

Jesus McSordid: I'll bite

- Roger Zelazny
- Alfred Bester

You wanted to be an interplanetary pirate, wenching your way thru the asteroid belt, but you married a woman named Amber and instead your most challenging quests are finding the exact right product in the feminine hygeine aisle at Safeway.

Jesus McSordid: Forgot to say. NERD! NTTAWT.

Well, now that you mention it, Nerd God.  (see profile pic)
