Reminds me of Bill Hicks talking about Officer, um, Coon testifying at the Rodney King trial

"Well if you look at it from a certain perspective we were helping him."
"How's that?"
"Well if you run the tape backward, you'll see that we help Mr. King up, put him in the car, and send him on his way."

waxbeans: kobrakai: waxbeans: Get back to me when someone get sentenced to actually prison time.

It's been 21 days. How impatient are you?

I'm realistic. I see lots of suspended sentence and shock probation.

I'll actually blow a dude(of my picking), If some one does actual time, in an actual prison and for something over one year and does the whole year.
Theses scumbags will get about what those rich people got for bribing their kids into college. Which was what? Months?
FML. Fark this time line.

So do we start having lineups?

So this guy is really bad at three things:
1. Patting police officers on the back.
2. Suicide
3. Fleeing the country.

Hopefully he is at least decent at his career of choice as a geophysicist.

Then again, maybe the crowd was chanting "Boo-urns" all along and we've completely misread this whole thing?

Astorix: Yeah, the video doesn't show him patting the cop on the back. Nice douchey argument and why did he try to flee to Switzerland and try to kill himself?

These people are cowards when confronted individually.

He's 51, right?  So he can still serve 20 years and maybe live to see the outside world before he dies.
I mean, he's conservative and respects the law and tough on crime prisons right?
Hope he enjoys nutriloaf.

No prison.  Exile.  Or death by hanging, right there on the capitol steps.  Make a spectacle of these 'people'.  That is what they wanted.

Better yet, after the trial, have the BidenHarris decapitate them with a sword on the whitehouse steps.  Then, heve their heads preserved in acrylic (or however biological specimens are preserved in plastic), and displayed as trophies against the insurrection.  Every last person who was in the capitol riot.  Hundreds of heads.  Bathe the whitehouse steps in the blood of the traitors.  Make it so that the BidenHarris has to decapitate for days on end.  So that their arms become strong and the sword becomes natural for them.  Then position the decapitation sword in a place of honor in the oval office.  As for the bodies?  Feed them to pigs and dogs.  Then collect the poop and make a monument out of it.  Show that this is what happens to insurrectionists.

It's pointless to care, at this point.
I'll be mad if not jail time. And I'll cheer any real jail time.
Till then? Who gives a Fark?

Dr. Bison: I'm against the death penalty so I'll always be in favor of paying to keep someone in jail. That they might climb the walls in pain and insanity is something I get a little chuckle out of. But I think everyone should be treated humanely.

Guys like this will build their own hell.

OK, how about exile to the pacific garbage patch.  It isn't death, in the sense that nature will be killing them, and nature kills us all, unless a person gets to us first, which is what you are against.

I work hard for my money, I don't want my taxes keepun traitors alive.  Especially when we have pics and video of them doing their crimes.  It is not in doubt.  So, why should we keep these traitors alive?  Because of your feels?  My feels say kill them.  So a good compromise is exile to the garbage patch.  We aren't killing them, but we also don't have to keep them alive.  Compromise is wonderful.

Till then? Who gives a Fark?

People who are interested in the legal process, people who enjoy watching assholes going through Federal Colonoscopies, the optimistic, the overly optimistic, the defendants, the defendants' families, most of America and a good chunk of the world's population.

Nihilism isn't for everyone, clearly.

Look. They DOJ already back peddled a bit, last week.

I don't even think one person is going to get murder 1.  (Much less felony murder rule)
WTF?
I'd been shot/chokehold just for passing the barriers near the stairs outside.
These farks were running around the main floor.

Tried to flee and then tried to kill himself and failed at both? What a farking coward.

Suicide has been a close companion in my life since the 8th grade when my best friend shot himself through the mouth with his dad's pistol. If an eighth grade band nerd can dust his top off while looking his buddy in the eye someone tell me what this badass freedumb warrior's problem is.

Rube Goldberg style suicides are often just (powerfully important) cries for help.  Nobody who really really wants to die is going to take 400 Benadryl or slash their wrists laterally.  Actually killing yourself is incredibly simple. Had a close friend in the military simply hang himself on a playground swing set, another band nerd in HS hung himself with piano wire... he really wanted to make a statement. Another guy in the military shot himself and one other close friend just hung out in his car while it was running with the garage closed.  Still another took an interesting way out by buying one of those party helium bottles (for filling lots of balloons I guess?) and filled a garbage bag with the shiat and stuffed his head inside and hung out for a little while.

At this point I'm more or less neutral on the whole concept of suicide but what I'm trying to get at here is that starting right this second nearly all of us have what it takes to cleanly, efficiently, and more or less painlessly punch our tickets in under ten minutes including prep work.

Since I don't think this brave warrior was making a cry for help and assuming he is rather smart due to his job and education unless I'm using the dull side of Occam's Razor he's just a cowardly little spineless slug. Like dude, you're 51 and probably looking at some serious jail time. Cops get to legally beat the shiat out of you, not the other way around, as a Republican I would have thought you celebrated that. You can choose to adult-up and do your time, or invest the two minutes it takes to go get one of your many guns and put a shot through the dome, I mean it takes way more effort to stay alive than it does to kill yourself. This guy could not even muster that, and now we get to pay for him in jail.
