I had an 87 Monte Carlo SS when I was stationed in Southern Cal. What a cool looking, really slow car. I got thumped all the time. Damn worthless 305.
I'm guessing this one is faster.

It wasn't just a 305. That was in the regular Monte Carlo. The SS received the 305 H.O. engine, with a whopping 190 HP I think. The regular 305 was 150 HP. I always liked that version of the G-Body.

I thought it was rated for around 180 horses and 240 pounds of torque. It was a pretty big car, too.
The truck I have now literally has twice the horse power out a similar size engine.
