Unfortunate indeed, but she was well into her 80s. She mostly got her money's worth.

I'm just dreading the day I hear the Jacques has left us. He's already had a stroke. But it's good hat he's back doing his thing on the webs. The man is absolutely a national treasure.

I learned about Fromage Fort from a French woman. It was made from over aged cheese that was starting to smell of ammonia, and was mixed with brandy or other spirit to cut the ammonia.

She wouldn't have considered making it from edible bits of still good cheese.
