I believe that is called a "lazy eye," but it looks like an eye that is highly motivated to move to another head.

I don't know why kids can't divorce their parents and get child support.
I bet that would make support laws make more sense than they currently do.

True Story

Meet Deb, Mom of two kids....
Just like this story, a teacher noticed neglect and called CPS. When they arrived, they saw the house of horrors and took the kids away post haste.

Deb here tried for years to get her kids back but failed each time in court.

She used to post in the Long Island Craigslist Rants and Raves section blaming the courts, the cops, CPS for taking her kids away never once, admitting she kept a filthy home. She never accepted the blame.

Now the kids are adult age and still want nothing to do with her.

Other photos of her "clean" home.

Do you have any kids?  because if they could do that my kid would want a divorce every single day.
Kids aint easy, and sometimes you have to be tough.  At least a few times a week my kid "hates" me for some reason...  yesterday it was because she hit her shin on the coffee table (after she said something bratty) and I snickered.  All her pain and embarrassment was then directed at me.  Would have divorced me on the spot.. lol

But anyway, fark these people.  I hope the kids end up in a better place.

Poor kid.  The thought of him or her going to school every day & knowing that their classmates had it better is incredibly sad.  They probably just wanted to fit in, probably wanted a decent meal.  Instead they surely smelled and all that.  Fark those parents, you don't deserve a kid.

Neglect is usually the hardest criteria to use in a TPR.

I really got nothing i can say after that. Because, damn.

My freezer normally has plenty of food while my fridge is just for milk, eggs, beer, and leftovers.  If I have left overs I feel like I made too much food.  My vegetables are mostly frozen because this is cheaper and actaully preserves more nutrients than fresh produce and has a longer shelf life.

I would be in trouble if I got inspected on the contents of my fridge.

That said, it actaully takes quit a bit for CPS to declare your house unlivable.  While they will note it is messy, they really do not care about regular messiness.  What they are looking for is badly soiled cothes and bedding, like you kid wets and poops in them and you do nothing, hoarding, poop and urine stains on the floors and walls, rather human or anima, roach infestations, basically just really deplorable conditions.

When this happened (over 10 years ago) it was all over the local news. Deb became  pseudo famous and when she posted to Rants and Raves, naming the judges, CPS investigators, cops, lawyers and  she would call them out by name and blame them for taking her kids away. The other posters on the site were relentless against her and she was the brunt of cruel remarks and trolling. She never once gave up though. Got to give her credit there.  A few years ago, she posted an update saying that her kids want nothing to do with her. She thinks because they were "brainwashed" will in custody with the CPS and foster homes...

Parents are stupid people. All of them are. Humans are stupid. We should not force them to cohabitate.
It only causes drama. Drama everyone pays for.
People suffer because we won't enable people to be independent of family.

Yes, because small children can completely take care of themselves and always make the best and most healthy decisions. I'm sorry it was rough for you. That sucks and your parents should be ashamed for letting you down. However, most parents actually do an adequate or better job of keeping their kids fed, clothed and attending school without being awful human beings.

Each parent has survived childhood, and should know how it works.  If not in their own home, then seeing how their friends lived.

Yeah, some folks who live like this lived like this as kids, but that's no excuse.

What?
I got married at 16.
I did that because I'd been cooking, cleaning, and going off to school all on my own, since I could see inside the pan on the stove.
In all of my life, 47, I've never been late on the rent.
Latchkey kid. In short.
Society would have been better off if I could have divorced my parents at age 9 and not got married at 15. I would have not made a kid if I had had my own place.

/
I used to have to polish the boots.
Iron the uniform.
And wake up an adult.
I was a surrogate spouse.
I should be given spousal support.
Society is stupid.
It only takes care of very specific people with very specific titles.
Labels ignore facts.

This is a mental health issue, for which I'm guessing the state hasn't provided funding. So instead of trying to help the parents and eventually reunite the family (which, I admit, seems inconceivable), they'll just keep the kids away from their parents.  Sometimes that's best but there should be some attempt to help these folks psychologically.

Dear friend, this is the Florida Panhandle.  Beautiful Pensacola,Escambia county.  It is among the top ten poorest places in the US, and the wages are only propped up by military retirees.  It has or had the highest violent crime rate in the country.  The old guard calls for bootstraps and lives comfortably on the grift.

Pets don't either, but somehow I manage to have 3 of them and don't have a house covered in shiat.

Deputies observed feces on the floors throughout the rooms,
Inside the bedrooms, feces were on top of dirty clothes that covered the floor, according to the report. Meanwhile, the bathroom was covered with dirty diapers and bugs.

Sounds like they need to get their shiat together.
