Paramedic Joshua Colon, 31, was arrested Monday afternoon. He faces several felony charges, according to an arrest report, including forgery, uttering a false instrument, criminal use of personal identification, creating a fictitious person and falsifying an official record as a public servant.

Inmate 1:  Who's the new guy?

Inmate 2:  I think his name's "Colon."

Inmate 1:  Niiiiice.

Clearly people know this is real. Look at this story and the rich couple that traveled to steal vaccine.

How the hell are others thinking this isn't real? WTF?

We really need to raise the bar for cop candidates.

Don't know about Florida, but my state has done well in getting older people in our Phase 2 their first shot (of two).  I know several who've had it already.

I'm registered... assigned to Phase 4.  The "everybody else" phase.

I read that as "Pandemic of the Year" and I refuse to be corrected.

Was that wrong? Should he not have done that?

This is weird.   Florida prioritized elderly, and even in states that haven't they are giving it to the elderly now, so his mother should have just been able to get it.  Second, why would you need three doses (it only takes two).  Third, these vaccines have to be kept super cold, it would make sense if he took one then took another in two weeks, but this wouldn't be effective.

I think something else was going on.

This happened in early January, so elderly people couldn't get it then.  You have to remember that this is Florida and the mastermind of the scheme was a firefighter.  It's totally believable that this was all there was to it. Dumbasses being dumbasses.

Grady Judd prosecutes corruption because he hates competition.

I'm more shocked that a department is following the US Public Health framework recommendation for a Pandemic and using EMS agencies to deliver vaccinations to at risk populations.

Tennessee's board of health refused to endorse it.

Im Curious as to what would've happened to the 3 doses had they not been stolen?

Would they just be sitting in storage right now?  Or thrown away?

Sounds like one dose was used and the other two left out in a car to spoil.

I'm pleased that Oklahoma seems to be doing pretty well in administering the vaccinations.  I suspect there were some clear-headed people at the Dept of Health who presented a plan and our idiot Governor said, "Durr, OK" before any wackadoodles-in-high-places had a chance to bend his ear.

He's so stupid. Everyone knows that they put a little extra in each bottle so that you can get the official five shots out of each bottle. Take all of the little extra across a few bottles and there's your free shots for family. Just lie and say those bottles only held enough for the official five. I hate stupid people, clever people on the other hand, I respect.

You're assuming the motive was getting vaccine for the captain's family, rather than farking the little people over.

Also, note they are waiting for him to come back from vacation to charge him. Would bet a lot that never happens.

There's a LOT to unpack here.
